Rizk sustenance only from Allah.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Dearest brother assalamu alaikum

if rizq is written even befor time of birth then what is the use of running after it. Why we are scared of our boss that he will fire me from the job for some reasons when belivers know that its Allah who decides everything isnt it our weakness of belife (iman). How to make our Iman stronger so that we dont need to be scared of anybody specially for rizq .

Answer:

Rizk sustenance only from Allah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Respected brother in Islam, without an iota of a doubt, the level of one’s sustenance is Determined, Decreed and Documented by the Lord Most Gracious for each and every individual when one is still in one’s mother’s womb!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 30:

30      Verily thy Lord does provide sustenance in abundance for whom He Pleases, and (for some) He provides in a just measure: for He does know and regard all His servants.

Sahih Muslim Hadith 6392 Narrated by Hudhayfah ibn Usayd

The Prophet (saws) said: “When the drop of (semen) remains in the womb for forty (days) or forty nights, the angel comes and says: “My Lord, will he be good or evil?” And both these things would be written. Then the angel says: “My Lord, would he be male or female?” And both these things are written. And his deeds and actions, his death, his livelihood; these are also recorded. Then his document of destiny is rolled and there is no addition to and subtraction from it.

One has absolutely no power in the least to increase or decrease the sustenance which their Lord Creator has bestowed and Decreed for them, and Allah is our witness brother, the inevitable element of death will not catch a soul unless and until the complete sustenance which their Lord Most Gracious has Pre-Determined and Decreed for them, reach it!!!

Your Question: ……if rizq is written even befor time of birth then what is the use of running after it.

If one had only known ‘how much’ sustenance the Lord Creator had Pre-Determined and Decreed for them, one would indeed not ‘run’ after it!!!  But because the love of abundance and wealth is pre-programmed in the ‘hard-disc’ of every soul, it is only natural for man to covet and desire it….and therein is precisely where lies the ‘test’.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imraan verses 14-15:

14      Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: women and sons; heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land.  Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals.

15      Say: ‘Shall I give you glad tidings of things far better than those?’  For the righteous are gardens in nearness to their Lord with rivers flowing beneath; therein is their eternal home; with companions pure (and holy) and the good pleasure of Allah.  For in Allah's sight are (all) His servants.

Because the Lord Most High has Pre-Determined and Decreed the sustenance of each and every soul, none has the power in the least to increase or decrease their sustenance…..but the ‘test’ man is involved in and will be accountable for in the Presence of their Lord is whether they sought their sustenance in a manner which was lawful or unlawful! If one wishes to fear something regarding one’s sustenance, this alone is what is worth fearing!

Your Question: ……Why we are scared of our boss that he will fire me from the job for some reasons when belivers know that its Allah who decides everything isnt it our weakness of belife (iman). How to make our Iman stronger so that we dont need to be scared of anybody specially for rizq .

Respected brother, it is one thing to ‘know’ that one’s sustenance is in the Hands of our Lord Most Gracious Alone….it is altogether another to believe with absolute conviction and inscribe this knowledge in our hearts!!!

Indeed those who have sincerely believed, and inscribed the knowledge of the Glorious Quran in their hearts fear no-one except their Lord in every aspect of their lives……

Without an iota of a doubt, to fear one’s boss or anyone else in creation for anything is a sign of one’s weakness of faith…..and the one and only way to strengthen one’s faith is to get as close as possible to the Guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, and the constant Remembrance of our Lord, Creator, Provider and Protector: Allah Subahnah wa Taala….for that alone is what develops and shines one’s ‘taqwa’ or piety.

Allah Says in His Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah Fatir verse 2:

2        What Allah out of His Mercy doth bestow on mankind there is none can withhold: what He doth withhold there is none can grant apart from Him: and He is the Exalted in Power Full of Wisdom.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 17:

17      If Allah touch thee with affliction none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness He hath power over all things.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verse 160:

If Allah helps you none can overcome you: if He forsakes you who is there after that that can help you?  In Allah then let believers put their trust.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 51:

Say: "Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has Decreed for us:  He is our Protector";  and on Allah let the believers put their trust.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 3:

And put your trust in Allah Alone; and enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
