One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

My question is still there. I told you that the boy says that his parents were ahmadi but he believes in ALLAH and accepts prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h)as the last prophet of GOD.So i wanna ask is he disbeliever or non-muslim? 

Please clear it.

Revert from ahmadi sect

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Respected sister in Islam, any person, absolutely regardless of the belief of his parents, who verbally declares the ‘shahaadah’ and testifies that there is no god worthy or worship except Allah Subhanah Alone, and testifies that Prophet Mohamed (saws) is the Last and Final Messenger of Allah….such a person would be regarded as a legal ‘muslim’ in the Sight of Shariah Law and in the sight of the believers.

 

Every single right that is available to a muslim will be accorded to this brother in full; he may marry an eligible believing woman, he my visit the Sacred House of Allah Subhanah, he will be given a muslim burial, he will inherit from his believing relatives, his believing relatives will inherit from him, etc….basically every single right that is due to a muslim will be accorded to this muslim brother in absolute full.

 

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
