Greetings to all.... I grow in a very Devoted Roman Catholic family but I always have a doubt in my hearth because of contradiction of our bible against some practices just like to bow down on statues and term "trinity".

 

Now that i found this site i`m quite interested, my questions are as follows;

 

1. In reading some Q and A, you quoted from quoran indicating allah as plural, Example "We (Allah ) instead of I, another Our (allah) instead of My. Can you elaborate this one why quoran is using plural form.

Single and plural Ist we in Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Your Question: In reading some Q and A, you quoted from quoran indicating allah as plural, Example "We (Allah ) instead of I, another Our (allah) instead of My. Can you elaborate this one why quoran is using plural form.

Allah says in the Holy Quran, Chapter 50 Surah Qaf verse 38:

WE have created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six days, and no fatigue overcame US.

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa Verse 30-33:

Have not the people, who have disbelieved the Message, ever considered this: the heavens and the earth were at first one mass; then WE parted them, and created every living thing from water. Do they not acknowledge (that this is all our Creation)? And WE set mountains firmly in the earth lest it should tilt to one side along with them, and WE left therein open paths so that they may find their way. And WE made the sky a safe canopy, but in spite of this they do not pay due heed to its signs. And it is Allah, Who has made the night and the day, and created the sun and the moon, all of them floating each in its own orbit.

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa Verse 92-93

Indeed, this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord: so worship ME alone.

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 15 Surah Al-Hijr verst 49-50

O Prophet (saws)! Tell MY servants, " I (Allah) am very Forgiving and Merciful, but at the same time MY chastisement is also very severe."

 

Indeed, The All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord has used both, singular (I, Me, My, etc.) as well as plural (We, Us, Our, etc.) forms of diction interchangeably in His Glorious Quran. 

 

Whenever the Lord Most High speaks and declares His Message from a Position of Majesty and Authority, He invariably uses the plural diction (We, Us, Our, etc.)…..this is indeed a common phenomena in the communiqué of even the kings and rulers of the world, especially in the Arabic language.  When a king or a ruler issues a decree or a general order from their position of authority, it is absolutely normal and common, especially in the Arabic language, that they do so in a plural (We, Us, Our, etc.) diction.

 

Allah Subhanah is the Creator, Master, and Supreme Ruler of everything that exists in existence….the King of all kings; the Emperor of all emperors; Supreme and Majestic over all creation!  Thus whenever The Supreme and Majestic Lord Speaks from His undeniable Position of Supreme Majesty, invariably the plural dictions of We, Us, Our, etc. are used in His Communiqué.

 

But whenever the Lord Most Gracious Most Merciful seeks communication with His believing slaves, He invariably uses the singular and personal dictions of I, Me, My, etc…..as if giving a personal Command and Guidance to each and every individual…..

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa Verse 92-93

Thus depending on the context of the Message, the Lord Most High has interchangeably used both the singular and the plural dictions for Himself in His Glorious Quran…..but at absolutely no time or place is there room or should one ever assume that there is a god or a lord other than the One and Only Supreme Lord God Who Alone Created everything in existence!   Allah Subhanah is Alone, The One, The Only, and the Absolute Unique, The Incomparable….The Creator, Master, Sustainer, Cherisher, Owner, and Lord of everything that exists in existence!

 

Allah says in The Holy Quran Chapter 112 Surah Ikhlas Verse 1-4

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only. Allah is Independent of all, and all are dependent on Him. Neither has He any offspring, nor is He the offspring of anyone; and NONE is equal to Him in rank.

 

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
