Answer:

Wahi inspiration jalee khafi

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: I want to know what Quran says about Imam Mehdi.I have heard that its not in Quran - its only in Hadith.

Regarding all the advents of events of the past,  present,  and the future,  we believe with certainty  only in what is said by Allah Subhanah in the Glorious Quran,  and what is recorded in the authentic narrations of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

Although the Holy Quran is silent on this issue,  there are several authentic hadiths where the Messenger of Allah (saws) has prophesized the advent of a Righteous Ruler near the end of time,  who will unite the believers and rule the world according to the guidance of the Quran and Sunnah.   If we combine the hadiths,  they reveal that this righteous person will be from the ‘ahle-bayt’ or descendants of the Prophet (saws),  and his name will be similar to the Last Messenger of Allah (saws) and he will be known as Al-Mahdi or the Rightly Guided.   The scholars have opined that his name will be either Mohamed ibn Abdulla,  or Abdulla ibn Mohamed.    The era of the anti-Christ and Liar Ad-Dajjal,  and the descent of Prophet Isa (a.s.) from the heavens, will also take place during the time of Imam Mahdi.

We absolutely and positively believe in the advent of this Righteous Ruler near the end of time called Imam Mahdi;  because the Prophet of Allah (saws) told the believers about his coming and reign;  and we believe with certainty in every word of  Allah and His Messenger (saws).

There are several hadiths recorded regarding the era of Imam Mahdi,  as related from the Messenger of Allah (saws).  Here are some of them:

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4272  Narrated by AbuSa'id al-Khudri

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The Mahdi will be of my stock, and will have a broad forehead a prominent nose. He will fill the earth with equity and justice as it was filled with oppression and tyranny, and he will rule for seven years.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 5455        Narrated by AbuSa'id al-Khudri

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said in the course of the story about the Mahdi, that a man would come to him and say, "Give me, give me, Mahdi," and he would pour into his garment as much as he was able to carry.

Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 6278        Narrated by Ja'far  as-Sadiq

Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Rejoice and rejoice again. My people are just like the rain, it not being known whether the last or the first of it is better; or it is like a garden from which a troop can be fed for a year, then another troop can be fed for a year, and perhaps the last troop which comes may be the broadest, deepest and finest. How can a people perish of which I am the first, the Mahdi the middle and the Messiah the last? But in the course of that there will be a crooked party which does not belong to me and to which I do not belong."

Razin transmitted it.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4271  Narrated by Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The Mahdi will be of my family, of the descendants of Fatimah.

The current situation and position of the believers must be to strive to obey each and every command of Allah and His Messenger (saws),  and strive to make the word of Allah Supreme in the world.    Imam Mahdi will come exactly at the time Allah has Decreed,    and the events will unfold exactly as prophesized by the Messenger of Allah (saws).    Allah has not made it our duty to search for the Mahdi;   he will come when he comes.   On the Day of Judgment,  Allah Subhanah will judge us according to our deeds;  neither will Allah question us why we did not appoint a Mahdi,  nor will He ask us why we did not wait for Mahdi’s  coming!     Thus,  instead of waiting for Imam Mahdi to come and put things aright in this world;   we must strive to do whatever we can to be better muslims,  and declare the Message of Allah to all those who care to listen to good caution.

And besides,  Imam Mahdi is not a Prophet of Allah,  but is a righteous slave of Allah Subhanah.    He will not come to mankind and declare that he is the Mahdi,   like a Prophet of Allah comes to mankind and declares his appointment to Prophethood.    Imam Mahdi will be a political and religious leader of the believers,  and from his actions of righteousness the believers will recognize him to be the promised Mahdi.

Your Question: where i know one hadith or Prophet in which He said "Omit any Hadith of mine which is not in accordance with Quran.

To the best of our knowledge, there is no such statement attributed to the Prophet (saws) whereby he (saws) declared ‘"Omit any Hadith of mine which is not in accordance with Quran”, nor would it have been necessary for him to give such a statement…..for Allah is our witness, it is absolutely inconceivable and incomprehensible  that the Messenger of Allah (saws) would ever do or say anything which would not be in accordance with the guidance of the Glorious Quran!

Such was the exemplary life of the Messenger of Allah (saws) that the All-Wise, All-Knowing Lord of the World Declares, Commands and Guides the believers to make Prophet Mohamed (saws) as an ideal example for them to follow….

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzab verse 21:

There is indeed the best example for you to follow in the Messenger of Allah, for every such person looks forward to Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.

It is the ardent belief of the believers that every word said and every deed done by the Messenger of Allah (saws) was in absolutely accordance with the guidance of Allah Subhanah.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chatper 52 Surah Najm verses 2-4:

2       Your Companion (Mohamed (saws)) is neither astray nor being misled.

3        Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) desire.

4        It is no less than inspiration sent down to him:

It is the not the Prophet (saws), but rather the good scholars and doctors of the science of ‘ahaadeeth’ who have declared it an absolute pre-condition that if anyone brings forth a statement or a deed and tries to attributes it to the Messenger of Allah (saws), and they find that that statement or deed is against the clear guidance of the Glorious Quran….then such a ‘hadeeth’ cannot and will not be accepted as authentic….for it is absolutely inconceivable and incomprehensible that the Messenger of Allah (saws) would ever say or do a thing which is against the guidance of the Quran.

For example if (Allah forbid) one were to claim that the Messenger of Allah (saws) bowed down or invoked an idol….regardless of who brings forth this statement, such a statement will be rejected without stint….for it is absolutely inconceivable that the Messenger of Allah (saws) would ever do a thing which is against the clear guidance of the Quran.

But there are several things which the Messenger of Alah (saws) said or did which were in addition to the guidance of the Glorious Quran.  To relate a simple example:

To clarify the exact number of rakahs in each prayer (Fajr=2, Dhuhr=4, Asr=4, etc.)….the Quran Commands the believers to pray….but how exactly to pray is taught by Allah Subhanah to the Messenger of Allah (saws), and he (saws) in turn, teaches it to mankind.

Here one cannot say that the guidance of the Prophet (saws) is against the guidance of the Holy Quran, but rather the truth is such guidance is in addition to and a clarification of the guidance of the Glorious Quran!

Although the Quran is absolutely silent regarding the advent of the Noble Imam Mahdi before the end of time, Allah Subhanah informed Prophet Mohamed (saws) through inspiration regarding the advent of this noble leader, and the Messenger of Allah (saws) made it known to the believers.

Thus in addition to the various Signs and Prophecies which Allah Subhanah declares in His Glorious Book of Guidance which will occur before the advent of the Hour like the return of Prophet Isa (a.s.), or the coming of the ‘Beast’, or the re-emergence of the tribes of Yajuj and Maajuj, etc….the Messenger of Allah (saws) was informed by Allah Subhanah through inspiration regarding the advent of Imam Mahdi before the end of time.

Thus brother, in conclusion, the various prophecies regarding the advent of Imam Mahdi which is found in the authentic and established Sunnah is not against the guidance of the Quran, but rather additional information which the Messenger of Allah (saws) received through inspiration from the Lord Most High, which he (saws) made known to mankind.

This confusion arises because some people believe that the only ‘wahi’ or inspirations the Messenger of Allah (saws) received was the Revelations of the Quran; but the Truth is that the Messenger of Allah (saws) received many an inspiration from Allah Subhanah which do not form part of the Glorious Quran like what to do, what not to do, some additional information or news of the Hereafter, etc.  That is precisely why it is a requirement and a condition of belief that one obey and follow the Quran as well as the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter  4 Surah Nisa verse 79-80:

We have sent you (O Mohamed) as a Messenger to mankind,  and Allah’s witness suffices for this.  Whoever obeys the Messenger, in fact obeys Allah,  and whoever turns away from him, he will be accountable for his deeds.  Anyhow,  we have not sent you (O Mohamed) to be a guardian over them.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verse 31-32:

O Prophet,  tell the people, “If you sincerely love Allah,  follow me.   Then Allah will love you and forgive you your sins,  for He is All Forgiving,  All Merciful.”  Also say to them, “Obey Allah and His Messenger.”  And if,  in spite of this,  they do not accept your invitation,  warn them that Allah does not love those,  who refuse to obey Him and His Messenger.

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
