Will you like to tell me how many times about Sabar  "Patience" have been mentioned in Holy Quran. Pls. also mention the names of Sura with Ayat no.

Patience in quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Your Question: Will you like to tell me how many times about Sabar "Patience" have been mentioned in Holy Quran

Beloved brother, the term ‘sabr’ has been used in the Glorious Quran with many of its manifestations (Saabir, Sabiroon, Isbir, Sabr, Sabaru, Saaberu, etc.)….and from only a casual count, the term ‘sabr’ with its manifestations has been used in excess of at least a 100 times in the Glorious Quran.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verses 126-128:

126    And if ye do catch them out catch them out no worse than they catch you out: but if ye show patience that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient.

127    And do thou be patient for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots.

128    For Allah is with those who restrain themselves and those who do good.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 70 Surah Maarij verse 5:

5        Therefore do thou hold Patience a Patience of beautiful (contentment).

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 12 Surah Yusuf verse 83:

83      Jacob said: "Nay but ye have yourselves contrived a story (good enough) for you.  So patience is most fitting (for me).  Maybe Allah will bring them (back) all to me (in the end): for He is indeed full of knowledge and wisdom."

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imraan verse 17:

17      Those who show patience firmness and self-control; who are true (in word and deed); who worship devoutly; who spend (in the way of Allah); and who pray for forgiveness in the early hours of the morning.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 90 Surah Balad verses 17-18:

17      Then will he be of those who believe and enjoin patience (constancy and self-restraint) and enjoin deeds of kindness and compassion.

18      Such are the Companions of the Right Hand.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verse 126:

126    "But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they reached us!  Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and constancy and take our souls unto thee as Muslims (who bow to thy will)"!

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 68 Surah Qalam verse 48:

48      So wait with patience for the command of thy Lord and be not like the Companion of the Fish when he cried out in agony.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imraan verse 200:

200    O ye who believe! Persevere in patience and constancy: vie in such perseverance; strengthen each other; and fear Allah; that ye may prosper.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqaan verse 20:

20      And the Messengers whom We sent before thee were all (men) who ate food and walked through the streets: We have made some of you as a trial for others: will ye have patience? For Allah is One Who sees (all things)

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 12 Surah Yusuf verse 18:

18      They stained his shirt with false blood.  He (Yaqoob (a.s.)) said: "Nay but your minds have made up a tale (that may pass) with you.  (For me) patience is most fitting: against that which ye assert it is Allah (alone) whose help can be sought"...

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 29 Surah Ankabut verses 58-59:

58      But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness to them shall We give a Home in Heaven lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers--to dwell therein for aye; an excellent reward for those who do (good)!

59      Those who persevere in patience and put their trust in their Lord and Cherisher.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 32 Surah Sajdah verse 24:

24      And We appointed from among them Leaders giving guidance under Our command so long as they persevered with patience and continued to have faith in Our Signs.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verse 87:

87      "And if there is a party among you who believes in the message with which I have been sent and a party which does not believe hold yourselves in patience until Allah doth decide between us: for He is the best to decide."

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 38 Surah Saad verse 17:

17      Have patience at what they say and remember Our Servant Dawood, the man of strength: for he ever turned (to Allah).

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah Ha-Meem verse 24:

24      If then they have patience the Fire will be a Home for them! And if they beg to be received into favor into favor will they not (then) be received.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 49 Surah Hujuraat verse 5:

5        If only they had patience until thou couldst come out to them it would be best for them: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 42 Surah Shura verse 43:

But indeed if any show patience and forgive that would truly be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 23 Surah Muminoon verse 111:

111    "I have rewarded them this day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..."

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 34:

34      Rejected were the Messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the Words (and Decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those Messengers.

31      And We shall try you until We test those among you who strive their utmost and persevere in patience; and We shall try your reported (mettle).

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Mumin verse 77:

77      So persevere in patience! For the Promise of Allah is true: and whether We show thee (in this life) some part of what We promise them or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that) (in any case) it is to Us that they shall (all) return.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah Ibraheem verse 12:

12      "No reason have we why we should not put our trust on Allah.  Indeed He has guided us to the Ways we (follow).  We shall certainly bear with patience all the hurt you may cause us: for those who put their trust should put their trust on Allah."

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 54 Surah Qamar verse 27:

27      For We will send the she camel by way of trial for them.  So watch them (O Saleh) and possess thyself in patience!

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 50 Surah Qaf verse 39:

39      Bear then with patience all that they say and celebrate the praises of thy Lord before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 103 Surah Asr verses 2-3:

2        Verily Man is in loss

3        Except such as have Faith and do righteous deeds and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth and of Patience and Constancy.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verse 11:

11      Not so do those who show patience and constancy and work righteousness; for them is forgiveness (of sins) and a great reward.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verse 115:

115    And be steadfast in patience; for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah Raad verse 23:

23      Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there as well as the righteous among their fathers their spouses and their offspring: and angels shall enter unto them from every gate (with the salutation):

24      "Peace unto you for that ye persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final Home!"

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 37 Surah Saffaat verse 102:

102    Then when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him he (Ibraheem (a.s.)) said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me if Allah so wills one practicing Patience and Constancy!"

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah Ibraheem verse 21:

21      They will all be marshalled before Allah together: then will the weak say to those who were arrogant "For us we but followed you; can ye then avail us at all against the wrath of Allah?" They will reply "If we had received the guidance of Allah we should have given it to you: to us it makes no difference (now) whether we rage or bear (these torments) with patience: for ourselves there is no way of escape."

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verses 41-42:

41      To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah after suffering oppression We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world: but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater if they only realize (this)!

42      (They are) those who persevere in patience and put their trust on their Lord.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Aaraaf verse 128:

128    Said Moses to his people: "Pray for help from Allah and (wait) in patience and constancy: for the earth is Allah's to give as a heritage to such of his servants as He pleaseth; and the end is (best) for the righteous.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 52 Surah Tur verse 16:

16      "Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds."

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verse 137:

137    And We made a people considered weak (and of no account) inheritors of lands in both east and west lands whereon We sent down our blessings.  The fair promise of the Lord was fulfilled for the children of Israel because they had patience and constancy and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected (with such pride).

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah Ha-Meem verse 35:

35      And no one will be granted such goodness except those who exercise patience and self-restraint none but persons of the greatest good fortune.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 153:

153    O ye who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verse 109:

109    Follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee and be patient and constant till Allah doth decide: for He is the Best to decide.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verses 45-46:

45      Nay seek (Allah's) help with patient perseverance and prayer: it is indeed hard except to those who bring a lowly spirit.

46      Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord and that they are to return to Him.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 19 Surah Maryam verse 65:

65      "Lord of the heavens and of the earth and of all that is between them: so worship Him and be constant and patient in His worship: knowest thou of any who is worthy of the same Name as He?

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 20 Surah Ta Haa verse 130:

130    Therefore be patient with what they say and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; yea celebrate them for part of the hours of the night and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 35:

35      For Muslim men and women for believing men and women for devout men and women for true men and women for men and women who are patient and constant for men and women who humble themselves for men and women who give in charity for men and women who fast (and deny themselves) for men and women who guard their chastity and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqmaan verse 17:

17      "O my son! establish regular prayer enjoin what is just and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqaan verse 75:

75      Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven because of their patient constancy; therein shall they be met with salutations and peace

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verse 35:

35      To those whose hearts when Allah is mentioned are filled with fear who show patient perseverance over their afflictions keep up regular prayer and spend (in charity) out of what we have bestowed upon them.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 76 Surah Dhahr verses 23-24:

23      It is We Who have sent down the Qur'an to thee by stages.

24      Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 12 Surah Yusuf verse 90:

90      They said: "Art thou indeed Joseph?" He said: "I am Joseph and this is my brother: Allah has indeed been gracious to us (all): behold he that is righteous and patient never will Allah suffer the reward to be lost of those who do right."

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 177:

177    It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces toward East or West; but it is righteousness to believe in Allah and the Last Day and the Angels and the Book and the Messengers; to spend of your substance out of love for Him for your kin for orphans for the needy for the wayfarer for those who ask and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient in pain (or suffering) and adversity and throughout all periods of panic.  Such are the people of truth the Allah-fearing.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 8 Surah Anfaal verse 46:

46      And obey Allah and His Messenger; and fall into no disputes lest ye lose heart and your power depart; and be patient and persevering: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 76 Surah Dhahr verse 12:

12      And because they were patient and constant He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah Ibraheem verse 5:

5        We sent Moses with Our Signs (and the command) "Bring out thy people from the depths of darkness into light and teach them to remember the Days of Allah." Verily in this there are Signs for such as are firmly patient and constant grateful and appreciative.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 74 Surah Mudhaththir verse 7:

7        But for thy Lord's (Cause) be patient and constant!

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imraan verse 186:

186    Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in your possessions and in your personal selves; and ye shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Book before you and from those who worship many gods.  But if ye persevere patiently and guard against evil then that will be a determining factor in all affairs.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah Raad verse 22:

22      Those who patiently persevere seeking the countenance their Lord; establish regular prayers; spend out of (the gifts) We have bestowed for their sustenance secretly and openly; and turn off Evil with good: for such there is the final attainment of the (Eternal) Home

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 96:

96      What is with you must vanish: what is with Allah will endure.  And We will certainly bestow on those who patiently persevere their reward according to the best of their actions.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 110:

110    But verily thy Lord to those who leave their homes after trials and persecutions and who thereafter strive and fight for the faith and patiently persevere thy Lord after all this is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah Rome verse 60:

60      So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true: nor let those shake thy firmness who have (themselves) no certainty of faith.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumar verse 10:

10      Say: "O ye my servants who believe! Fear your Lord: good is (the reward) for those who do good in this world.  Spacious is Allah's earth! Those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!"

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Mumin verse 55:

55      Patiently then persevere: for the Promise of Allah is true: and ask forgiveness for thy fault and celebrate the Praises of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 42 Surah Shura verse 33:

33      If it be His Will He can still the Wind: then would they become motionless on the back of the (ocean).  Verily in this are Signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah Ahqaaf verse 35:

35      Therefore patiently persevere as did (all) the Messengers of inflexible purpose; and be in no haste about the (Unbelievers).  On the Day that they see the (Punishment) promised them (it will be ) as if they had not tarried more than an hour in a single day.  (Thine but) to proclaim the Message: but shall any be destroyed except those who transgress?
