In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and beloved brother in Islam, when one is born into a
set of beliefs, grows up seeing his loved ones, elders, and family following a
particular set of beliefs, it is only natural that one will accept those
beliefs to be the truth.
One may try with reason, and logic, or even by giving good
books, booklets, and cassettes on the Truth of Al-Islam to our Bohra brethren,
but because their unscrupulous priests, who control absolutely all aspects of
their lives, have warned them time and time again regarding accepting or
studying anything to do with Islam except from them alone, our Bohra brethren
are very reluctant to engage in talking about their beliefs, leave alone
accepting a book or booklet about Islam!
Thus, in our humble experience and opinion, the only book
which they might accept to read is the Glorious Quran, for they do truly
believe that the Quran is indeed from Allah Subhanah. If you can somehow convince them to read the
Glorious Quran with understanding, even if only once, and if Allah Wills and
Pleases, that Bohra brother or sister will be well on their way to the Path of
Truth, Insha Allah.
In our humble opinion, there is no better book to give a
disbeliever or even a misguided believer, than the Book which none but the
All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord Himself has authored and revealed for the guidance
of mankind….the one and only, the Al-Quran al-Kareem.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 185:
Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent
down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for mankind and consists of clear
Teachings which show the
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah
Nahl verse 89:
We have sent down to you this Book, which makes
everything plain, and is a
guidance, blessing and good news to
those who have surrendered themselves entirely.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah
Kahf verse 1-3:
All praise is for Allah Alone, Who has sent down this Book to His Servant
(Mohamed (saws), and assigned nothing
crooked to it. This Book says everything directly, so that he may warn the people of the severe
chastisement of Allah and give good news to the believers, who do righteous deeds, that they will have an excellent reward.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam
verse 70:
And leave alone those who have taken their
‘deen’ as a sport and past-time, and
have been deluded by the life of this world.
Nevertheless, you go on
admonishing them by reciting the Quran to them,
lest any person should be seized because of his own deeds; and that too, at a time, when there would be
no protector, no helper and no
intercessor to rescue him from Allah;
when no conceivable amount of ransom would be accepted from him. This is because such people shall be seized,
in consequence of what they themselves had earned.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraaf verses 2-3:
This is a Book which has been sent down to
you. So,
let there be no hesitation in your mind about it. This has been sent down that you may thereby
warn (the disbelievers), and that it may
be an Admonition to the believers. O
people, follow what has been sent down
to you from your Lord, and do not follow
other ‘auliyaas’ besides Him. But you
seldom take Admonition!
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
