One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Assalaam
O Alaikum. A number of my friends and relatives are Ahmedis. They attend the
retual of Annual Jalsa. They have been told that this ritual (Jalsa) has been
established by
Divine
order.My question is:
1.Is
there any reference in the Holy Quraan and the Hadees that indicates
that this ritual has Divine approval?
2.Does
Sharia allow participation in such retuals?
Please
advise . B.Ahmed.

Answer:
Ahmadi jalsa
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Q-1: Is
there any reference in the Holy Quraan and the Hadees that indicates
that this ritual has Divine approval?
The only ‘annual’ religious gathering of the believers to
a particular and specific place endorsed by Allah Subhanah in His Holy Quran
and the Prophet (saws) in his Sunnah is the pilgrimage of Hajj.
Beloved brother, we obviously have no knowledge of what
this ‘annual jalsa’ or gathering of the Ahmadis is all about; but we assure you
that there is absolutely no reference to any gathering by this name in the guidance
of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.
Q-2: Does Sharia
allow participation in such retuals?
Beloved brother, because the core belief of the Ahmadis is
that their leader and founder, Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani was appointed a Prophet and
received Revelations from Allah after the Last and Final Prophet of Allah, Mohamed
ar-Rasool Allah (saws)….the Ummah of Islam is unanimous in their opinion that
this blatant blasphemy of theirs removes them out of the fold of Islam, and
consider the Ahmadis to be disbelievers.
To participate in any ‘religious’ gathering of the
disbelievers would be absolutely against the guidance of Allah and His
Messenger (saws).
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other
than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led
astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
