Answer:

Which sect is true?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Q-1: which sect is according to the true teachings of quran and sunnah what sect our prophet s a w belonged and do we need to have a sect

Allah Subhanah revealed the Glorious Quran on the Prophet (saws) who himself lived, and guided his followers to live their lives in accordance with the Divine Guidance; and it was Allah Subhanah Himself who named this Community or Ummah of believers as ‘muslims’.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah Hajj verse 77-78: O you who have believed,  do ‘rukooh’ (bow down) and do ‘sajdah’ (prostration), and worship your Lord Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds: it may be that you attain true success!  Exert your utmost for the cause of Allah,  as one should.   He has chosen you for His service, and has not laid on you any hardship in your religion.   Therefore,  be steadfast in the religion of your father Abraham.   Allah had named you ‘muslims’ before this, and has named you (muslims) in this Quran also,  so that the Messenger may be a witness in regard to you,  and you may be witnesses in regard to the rest of mankind.

The Prophet (saws) and his companions considered it an honor to be recognized by the name Allah had chosen for them, that is: ‘muslim’.  Never ever did the Prophet (saws), or his companions, or his family, nor their true believers wished to be recognized by any name, other than the name Allah Subhanah has chosen for them!  Never ever did the Prophet (saws) call himself and those who followed him Sunnis, or Shias, or Itna-Asharis, or Hanafis, or Malikis, or Shafeis, or Hanbalis, etc.; but these sects and names were created and invented many years after the death of the Prophet (saws) and have absolutely no basis in the deen of Islam.  At the time of the Prophet (saws) the Islamic Ummah was united and there were no sects; but unfortunately after the death of the Prophet (saws) differences between the believers set in, and some amongst them chose to break away from the mainstream Ummah and form their own sects and sub-sects.  Initially, most of these sects and sub-sects were formed due to political differences, but as time went by they took the shape of religious sects!

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 171         Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr

Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘There will befall my Ummah exactly (all those) evils which befell the people of Isra'il, so much so that if there was one amongst them who openly committed fornication with his mother there will be among my Ummah one who will do that, and if the people of Isra'il were fragmented into seventy-two sects, my Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects!  All of them will be in Hell Fire except one sect.  They (the Companions) said: ‘O Allah's Messenger (saws), which one is that?’  Whereupon he (saws) replied: ‘It is one to which I and my companions belong.’

The true believers in Allah and His Messenger (saws) should leave alone all these man-made sects and name, and take pride in calling themselves by the name Allah Subhanah has Himself chosen for the believers: that is, ‘muslims’.

Although every sect will claim that they are the ones who are the true followers of Allah and His Messenger (saws); in our humble opinion, the biggest recognition of those who are on the Straight Path of Islam is their unconditional obedience and reverence to the Quran and the Sunnah.  They strive never to differentiate between any of the believers who profess belief in Allah and His Messenger (saws), and they never strive to instigate the Ummah to break up into sects and sub-sects; but rather their striving is always to unite this broken Ummah of Islam into one community of believers who sincerely love Allah and His Messenger (saws).

Your Question: my other question is what is ayat e rajam in quran please define.

Beloved Brother, ‘rajm’ or the capital Shariah punishment of ‘stoning to death’ the ones convicted of adultery in a Court of Shariah Law is not from the Quran; but rather the evidence for the prescribed punishment of ‘Rajm’ can be found in the authentic Sunnah or Traditions of the Messenger of Allah (saws).

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.885 Narrated byAbu Huraira and Zaid bin Khalid Al Juhani

A bedouin came to Allah's Messenger (saws) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (saws)! I ask you by Allah to judge My case according to Allah's laws."  His opponent, who was more learned than he, said, "Yes, judge between us according to Allah's laws, and allow me to speak."  Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Speak." He (i.e. the bedouin or the other man) said, "My son was working as a laborer for this (man) and he committed illegal sexual intercourse with his wife. The people told me that it was obligatory that my son should be stoned to death, so in lieu of that I ransomed my son by paying one hundred sheep and a slave girl.  Then I asked the religious scholars about it, and they informed me that my son must be lashed one hundred lashes, and be exiled for one year, and the wife of this (man) must be stoned to death."  Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, I will judge between you according to Allah's laws. The slave-girl and the sheep are to be returned to you, your son is to receive a hundred lashes (for fornication) and be exiled for one year.  You, Unais, go to the wife of this (man) and if she confesses her guilt (of adultery), stone her to death."  Unais went to that woman next morning and she confessed.  Allah's Messenger (saws) ordered that she be stoned to death.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.633         Narrated by Ibn Umar

A Jew and Jewess were brought to the Prophet (saws) on a charge of committing an illegal sexual intercourse (adultery). The Prophet (saws) asked the Jews, "What do you (usually) do with them?"  They said, "We blacken their faces and disgrace them." He (saws) said, "Bring here the Torah and recite it, if you are truthful."  They (fetched it and) came and asked a one-eyed man to recite. He went on reciting till he reached a portion on which he put his hand. The Prophet (saws) said, "Lift up your hand!" He lifted his hand up and behold, there appeared the verse of Ar-Rajm (stoning of the adulterers to death). Then he said, "O Muhammad! They should be stoned to death but we conceal this Divine Law among ourselves."  Then the Prophet (saws) ordered that the two sinners be stoned to death ,and they were stoned to death, and I saw the man protecting the woman from the stones.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.810         Narrated by Jabir

A man from the tribe of Aslam came to the Prophet (saws) and confessed that he had committed an illegal sexual intercourse (adultery). The Prophet (saws) turned his face away from him till the man bore witness against himself four times. The Prophet (saws) then said to him, "Are you mad?"  He said "No." He (saws) said, "Are you married?" He said, "Yes."  Then the Prophet (saws) ordered that he be stoned to death, and he was stoned to death at the Musalla. When the stones troubled him, he fled, but he was caught and was stoned till he died. The Prophet (saws) spoke well of him and offered his funeral prayer.
