Answer:

Why are there different races if all are from Adam?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,  no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 1: O mankind!  Reverence your Guardian-Lord, Who created you from a single person;  created of like nature his mate,  and from them twain scattered countless men and women;  reverence Allah through Whom ye demand your mutual (rights),  and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you):  for Allah ever watches over you.

Prophet Adam was the first man, and thus he is the natural father of all human beings.   It is amongst the Signs or Allah Subhanah that He has created each human being different; some tall, some short, some dark, some fair-skinned, different races, etc.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah Rom verse 22: And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colors:  verily in that are Signs for those who know!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah Fatir verses 27-28: 27   Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky?   With it We then bring out produce of various colors.   And in the mountains are tracts white and red of various shades of color, and black intense in hue.

And so amongst men, and crawling creatures, and cattle,  they are of various colors.   Those truly fear Allah among His Servants who have knowledge:  for Allah is Exalted in Might Oft-Forgiving.

It is indeed the work of a Perfect Creator, that He has given each person different looks, even though they all have the same body parts!    It is indeed the Mercy and Grace of Allah Subhanah that each person is different in some way or the other, so that he may be recognized….otherwise,  can one imagine the turmoil if every single human being looked exactly the same!  It is only the manifestation of His Perfectness that He makes billions and billions of human beings, all similar, yet completely different in looks!

Even in the lower forms of life like animals, there are different races and breeds; again a manifestation of the Perfectness of the One and Only Perfect Creator.

Indeed,  it would be difficult for an atheist who only likes to believe what he sees and experiences,  to accept that there could be a Creator Who created everything that is in existence!  But just because of his limited knowledge and experience, if he cannot see or feel something, does not mean it does not exist!  But these same ignorant people are apt and foremost in believing that human beings came from apes and monkeys???????

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 45 Surah Jathiya verses 3-6:Verily in the heavens and the earth, are Signs for those who believe.

And in the creation of yourselves, and the fact that animals are scattered (through the earth) are Signs for those of assured Faith.

And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky and revives therewith the earth after its death; and the change of the winds are Signs for those that are wise.

Such are the Signs of Allah, which We rehearse to thee in Truth:  then in what exposition will they believe after (rejecting) Allah and His Signs?

These ignorant people see the Signs of The Perfect Creator all around them, but they do not want to believe in Him!

Glory be to Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and everything that exists in between.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
