to the Qur`aan and Sunnah, However i have indeed come accros a lot of valid
critisisim of this author - - What do you think about it?
Secondly can you please tell me Directly what you think about the term
`Whabisim` -- and what you think about the late Shakh Muhammad Ibn Abdel Wahhab

Answer:

In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
The late Brother Syed Qutb (may
Allah have Mercy on his soul and grant him an honorable status in the
Hereafter) is regarded amongst the most eminent modern scholars, thinkers, and
writers of Islamic literature of the 20th century. Because of his vocal and literal adherence to
the pure tenets of the Quran and the Sunnah, Brother Syed Qutb was condemned
and put to death in
It may be that some modern or
liberal minded muslims might not adhere or agree with the views or works of our
late and beloved brother Syed Qutb, and in their effort to stop people from
accessing his views and thoughts, they might have taken steps to assassinate
the character or literature or thoughts of the one who was himself assassinated
for his views and writings! Their
criticism might be valid or it may be wrong; and Allah Subhanah Alone has the
Knowledge and the Power to Decide with justice amongst them.
Allah Says in the
Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 134:
134 That was a People that hath passed
away. They shall reap the fruit of what
they did and ye of what ye do! You shall
not be questioned regarding what they used to do.
Your Question: Secondly can you please tell me
Directly what you think about the term `Whabisim` -- and what you think about
the late Shakh Muhammad Ibn Abdel Wahhab (Rahmalal Allaah).
About 200-300 years ago, the majority of the Islamic countries were
under colonial rule, and elements of
‘bida’ and ‘shirk’ was rampant amongst the muslims. In various parts of the world, a number of good scholars arose who warned
the believers against the heinous crime of ‘shrik’, and guided them to follow the clear commands
of the Quran and Sunnah.
Among such scholars was a
person named Mohamed ibn Abdul Wahhab in the

The term Wahhabi soon became
synonymous with fundementalist Islam,
and was widely used as a derogatory term by the Western colonial powers
and the so-called ‘moderate’ muslims, to
imply the believers who would not
practice innovations and shirk in their deen.
Wahhabi is thus not a sect in
Islam, neither a school of thought, nor a deen!
It was simply a term concocted, used and used as a ferocious propaganda
tool by the Western colonial powers of the time; just as today they display their open
prejudice against the true believers by naming them ‘Islamists’, ‘fundementalists’, ‘extremists’,
and ‘terrorists’! In their
convenient terminology, the muslims who
obey and follow the Western Powers are called ‘moderate’; and the muslims who obey and follow Allah and
His Messenger are given derogatory names like ‘Islamists’ and
‘extremists’!
The irony is that in the
