Answer:
Difference between shia sunni
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Every person who believes and worships Allah Subhanah
Alone and does not associate any partners with Him; who believes in all the Messengers appointed
by Allah; who believes in Prophet
Mohamed (saws) as the Last and Final Messenger;
who believes in all the Books revealed by Allah Subhanah; who believes in the Glorious Quran as the
Final Message of our Merciful Lord; who
believes in the Angels of Allah Subhanah;
who believes in the concept of the Hereafter; and who believes in the Divine Decrees of
Allah Subhanah; and declares the
testification of Islam: ‘Laa Ilaaha
Illalaah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah’ is a
believer and a muslim. Allah Subhanah
has not made the believers Shias, or Sunnis, or Ismailis, or Shafeis, or
Bohras, etc.; these are names man has invented for himself! Every believer must be honored to be
recognized by the name that Allah has chosen for them, and Allah has chosen to
call the believers ‘muslims’ in the Glorious Quran.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse 77-78: O you who have believed,
do ‘rukooh’ (bow down) and do ‘sajdah’ (prostration), and worship your
Lord Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds: it may be that you attain true
success! Exert your utmost for the cause
of Allah, as one should. He has chosen you for His service, and has
not laid on you any hardship in your religion.
Therefore, be steadfast in the
religion of your father Abraham. Allah
had named you ‘muslims’ before this, and has named you (muslims) in this Quran
also, so that the Messenger
may be a witness in regard to you, and
you may be witnesses in regard to the rest of mankind.
Whoever declares the ‘shahaadah’ or testification of faith
will be considered a ‘muslim’ in the sight of Shariah, regardless of whether
one wishes to call himself a Shia or a Sunni, as these man-made sect names have
absolutely no basis or authority in Islam.
Your Question: i question is what is different between
sheyas ans sunni, where as both r the followers of allah.
In all the major principles of Islam, both the people who
claim to be Shias or Sunnis are in absolute agreement:
Both profess belief in the Absolute Oneness of Allah Subhanah
Both profess belief in all the Prophets of Allah Subhanah
Both believe in Prophet Mohamed (saws) as the Last and
Final Messenger of Allah.
Both believe in the Quran as the Last and Final Message of
Allah Subhanah.
Both believe in the concept of Angels
Both believe in the concept of the Hereafter
Both believe in the Divine Decree and Qadr of Allah
Subhanah.
Thus in all the major articles of faith, both the people
who claim to be Shias or Sunnis are absolutely unanimous in their beliefs.
In our humble opinion the major difference between these
two groups originate in what transpired in the History of the Muslims after the
death of the Messenger of Allah (saws).
The people who claim to be Sunnis accept the historical fact that Hadrat
Abu Bakr (r.a.) was the chosen Khalifah of the believers; and the Shias
disagree with this appointment and claim that Prophet Mohamed (saws) chose and
appointed Hadrat Ali ibn Abi Taalib (r.a.) as his vicegerent and successor. The people who call themselves Sunnis claim that
the leadership of the believers was to be chosen by consensus. This is, so to speak, the first bone of
contentions between the two sects. The people who call themselves Shias believe
that the leadership of the believers is by Divine Decree conferred on the
Imams, who are considered sinless and present in every generation.
The truth of the matter is that regardless of whoever is
the leader of the believers, whether chosen by the believers or appointed by
Divine Decree, it should not effect the ‘deen’ brought by Prophet Mohamed
(saws) because the Glorious Book of Guidance, The Al-Quran is amongst us today
verbatim and exact as it was revealed by the All-Mighty Lord, and the Sunnah of
the Messenger (saws) established.
The difference we unfortunately see in the observance of
the deen today is because some people, even though they call themselves
muslims, refuse to follow the guidance and commands of the Quran and the Sunnah
in its context and entirety. Thus unless
and until all the muslims, regardless of their sects and creeds, return to the
absolute obedience of the Quran and the Sunnah, these differences will continue
to exist until Allah Subhanah decides amongst them on the Day of Resurrection.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 23 Surah
Mu’minoon verse 52-55: And you all belong to one and the same Ummah, and I(Allah) am your Lord; so fear Me
Alone! Yet afterwards the people divided
themselves into different sects, each
sect rejoicing in what it has. Well,
leave them deeply involved in their heedlessness up to an appointed
time.
My dear and beloved brother in Islam, the duty laid upon
the true believers by their Lord is to obey and follow the Quran and the Sunnah
and regardless of those who propagate and strive to break the Brotherhood of the
Muslims into separate sects and creeds on the advent of every difference of
opinion, to remain united as one Ummah, the Ummah of Islam. It would not be considered righteousness to
call oneself Shia, or Sunni, or any other sect; but righteousness and guidance
would be to recognize and call oneself only by the name Allah Subhanah has
chosen for the believers; and that is ‘muslims’.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse 78: Allah had named you ‘muslims’ before this, and has named you (muslims)
in this Quran also,
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 171 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘There will
befall my Ummah exactly (all those) evils which befell the people of Isra'il,
so much so that if there was one amongst them who openly committed fornication
with his mother there will be among my Ummah one who will do that, and if the
people of Isra'il were fragmented into seventy-two sects, my Ummah will be
fragmented into seventy-three sects. All
of them will be in Hell Fire except one sect.’ They (the Companions) said: ‘O
Allah's Messenger (saws), which is that?’
Whereupon he (saws) said: ‘It is one to which I and my companions
belong.’
If one trusts,
obeys, and follows the guidance
and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), he can be assured of never ever being
misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger
(saws), he can be assured of being led
astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
