Barakah blessing of quran verse
Mu' meneen
Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Burhan AoA:
I want to understand the importance and barakah
associated (if any) with the Quranic symbols which
are not explained, for example: Alif_Laam_Meem, Q,
etc. My mother have them framed and mounted in a spot which is easily
visible, and she was telling me that if I start the day or any new task by
first glancing at those words, then Allah provides barakah
on it's behalf. Can you please explain, in the light of Quran/Hadith & Sunnah about
the authenticity of the above claims.
I understand that you are a busy person, and your time is very precious, but if
you could respond to my query on a priority basis, it will help me a lot.
Jazzak Allah.

Answer:
Barakah blessing of quran verse
In the
name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness.
Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray,
none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no
person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
2137 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "If anyone recites a letter
from Allah's Book he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a
tenfold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim are one letter, but alif is a
letter, lam is a letter and mim is a
letter."
There is
absolutely no doubt that the Glorious Quran is from
the Lord and Creator of the Universe, and thus every word of it is abundant in
barakah and blessings. But it will be a source of blessings only for
those who read and understand and follow its guidance. If one just looks at the Quran,
or glances at its Verses hanging from a frame on the wall, and does not follow
the Quran as a Book of Guidance; one cannot expect it
to be a source of barakah and blessings on such a
person.
Whatever
written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance,
and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone
Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
