Right to practice Islam but dont get personal

One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Dear Mr.Burhan: I have been reading your sabaks
regularly. Your recent article stating that the Bhaisaheb
cursed you and used foul language. I think even you have referred to Dr.Burhanuddin Aqa Mola (TUS) as a "Mis-guided"
& "Money-Mongering" man. I see no difference between you and the Bhaisaheb. No matter what you feel, you have right to state
your views about Islam, practice and preach but not to get personal with
ANYBODY. Your challenge may not be worth accepting after-all.
(There may be some grammatical and spelling
errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from
questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in
confidentiality.)
Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can
misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We
bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no
imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah
Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the
seal of His Messengers.
Our beloved brother in Islam, we
do sincerely apologize if our statements have hurt your feelings; Allah is our witness, that was not our intention. We did not use these words like
‘money-mongering’ and ‘mis-guided’ from ourselves,
but rather just stated what Allah Himself states in the Glorious Quran regarding the priests and holy men who debar people
from the Straight Path of Allah.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verses 34-35:O you who
believe! There are indeed many
among the priests and the holy men who devour the wealth of others by evil
means, and debar the people from the Way of Allah. Give them the good news of a painful
torment, who hoard up gold and silver and do not
expend these in the Way of Allah. The
Day shall surely come when the same gold and silver shall be heated in the fire
of Hell, and with it will be branded their foreheads, their bodies and their
backs. (And it will be said): “Here is
that treasure you had hoarded up for yourselves! Taste now the evil of your hoarded treasure!”
The above aayah
of the Quran is directed to the believers and is a
warning from Allah to those who believe about some of the priests and holy men
who wear the garb of Islam, but their mission is to devour the wealth of others
by evil means, and mis-guide them from the Way of
Allah!
It is not our intention to get
personal with anyone; nor do we have any personal enmity with the Syedna or his family!
They are responsible for their deeds and we are for ours. On the Day of Judgment Allah Subhanah will neither ask them about our deeds, nor will He
ask us about theirs! Every one will be
brought before his Lord absolutely Alone, to give a
full accounting of his deeds.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 94:(And Allah will
say), “So, you have come before Us all alone, as We created you at first. Now, you have left behind all that We gave you in the world.
Now We do not see with you those ‘shufa’a’(intercessors),
who, you believed, had a share in moulding your
destinies! All the relations between you
and them have been cut off, and all those, in whom you trusted, have left you
in the lurch.”
Your Statement: I see no difference between
you and the Bhaisaheb.
Well then, allow me to point a
few differences:
We invoke and worship Allah Subhanah Alone; they invoke human beings and the graves of
their ancestors!
We invite you towards the clear
guidance and teachings of the Holy Quran; they invite
you towards a book ‘Daim ul
Islam’ written by a man called Qadi Noaman!
We invite you to obey and follow
the commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws); they invite you to obey and
follow them and their ancestors!
We invite you towards Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah Subhanah);
and they invite you towards Shirk (associating others with Allah Subhanah)!
We invite you to be ‘Abd-Allah’ (Slaves of Allah Subhanah);
they invite you be ‘abde-syedna’ (Slaves of syedna)!
We invite you to the vast Mercy
and Forgiveness of Allah Subhanah; and they invite
you to the Wrath and Anger of the Lord of the Worlds!
We invite you to unconditionally
obey and follow Allah and His Messenger, Mohamed ar-Rasool
Allah (saws); they invite to unconditionally obey and follow them and their
families!
We invite you to do deeds to win
the Pleasure and Good Will of our Lord and Creator; and they invite you to do
deeds to win their pleasure and the good will of their ancestors!
We invite you to invoke and
worship that One Lord Alone, Who is the Sole Creator of the heavens and the
earth and everything in between; and they invite you to invoke and worship the
pious slaves of Allah who have passed away!
We invite you to submit
yourselves and do sajdah to Allah Subhanah
Alone; and they invite you to submit and do sajdah to
them and at the graves of their ancestors!
We invite you to fear Allah;
they invite you to fear human beings like themselves and their holy men!
We invite you to put your trust
in Allah and His Messenger (saws); and they invite you to put your trust in
them and the names that they have invented!
We invite you to Praise and
Glorify Allah Subhanah, as He Alone deserves All
Praise; and they invite you to praise and glorify human beings!
We invite you to be ‘muslims’; and they invite you to be ‘mushriks’!!!!!!!
We invite you to Islam; and all
they invite you to, is the History of the Muslims!!!!!
Your Concluding
Statement: Your challenge may not be worth accepting after-all.
Our challenge to the scholars
and bhaisahebs of the sect was to produce the
evidence from the Holy Quran that what they propagate
and do, is indeed in accordance with the commands of Allah! And to date, we have never found anyone from
the community to accept our challenge; and we do not blame them…because there
is simply no way that these people can justify their deeds of invoking and
bowing down in sajdah to human beings and the graves
of their holy men, and associating others with the Merciful Lord! Have you ever wondered why one is not
allowed to do the acts of ‘tasleem’, ‘sajdah’, or kissing the feet of the
high priest and his family in public in the muslim
countries (Saudia,
And besides this challenge of
producing the evidence and proof is not that we made up ourselves! Allah Subhanah
Himself asks those who commit shirk to produce their evidence for their
associating other deities with Allah in invocation and worship! These people say that they follow what
Allah has revealed and are doing these acts in accordance with the guidance of
Allah and His Messenger (saws)…. And
Allah Himself challenges them and asks them in the Holy Quran
to produce their evidence if what they say is the Truth!!!!
Allah Himself
Challenges the people who invoke others besides Him, in the Holy Quran Chapter 27 Surah Al Naml verse 64: Bring forth your ‘burhan’ (evidence), if indeed what you say is the Truth!
Glorified and Far Exalted is
Allah Subhanah from the shirk
that the people commit!!!!
My beloved brother,
read the Glorious Quran with understanding once, and
then decide who is on the Straight Path and who is astray! That would be the single biggest favor you
could do on yourself. Don’t trust us;
don’t trust the bhaisahebs; don’t trust anyone! But please, we implore you in the name of
our Merciful Lord; Trust Allah Subhanah Alone to
guide you to the Truth! Allah, in His
Sublime and Infinite Mercy and Grace has revealed His Book for the guidance of
all mankind…. The least one can do is
read and understand this Message from our Lord and Creator! And if after reading and understanding the Quran you still feel that the bhaisahebs
and the hierarchy are guiding you to the Straight Path… by all means, follow what you think is right! But at least, consult with Allah Subhanah before taking a path!
The only reason one claims to be
a Bohra is because he was born into it and because he
found his forefathers practicing this way of life! This is the exact same excuse all the people
who disbelieved in the Message of Allah gave to His Messengers!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 7 Surah Al Aaraf verse172-173:This We did
lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, “We were unaware of this
thing.” Or lest you should say, “Our
forefathers started the practice of ‘shirk’ before us and we were born after
them to their descendants. Do You, then, punish us for the sin that was committed by the
wrong-doers?” Behold, this is how We make Our Signs clear, so that these people may return to
Us.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 21:And when it is
said to them, “Follow what Allah has sent down”, they say, “We shall only
follow that upon which we found our forefathers.” What!
Will they still be following them even if Shaitaan
had been calling them to the raging Fire?
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verse 22-25:Nay! But they say, “We found our forefathers on a
way and we are only walking in their footsteps.” Even so, whenever before you We sent a warner to a habitation,
its people of means said, “We have found our forefathers on a way and we are
only following in their footsteps.”
Every Prophet asked them, “Will you still go on following the same old
way even if I guide you to a more right way than that you found your
forefathers following?” They replied,
“We disbelieve the religion with which you have been sent.” Consequently, We
took vengeance on them. Just consider
what was the end of those who denied.
Our duty was no more than to
invite you to the guidance and teachings of Allah and His Messenger, Mohamed ar Rasool Allah (saws). You bear witness with us, and Allah is enough
as a witness, that we have done our duty to our brethren!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 157-158:Now that a clear proof, a Guidance and
Blessing, has come to you from your Lord, who can be more unjust than the one
who treats Our Revelations as false and turns away from them? We will inflict the severest torment on
those who turn away from Our Revelations because of their aversion. Do the people now await
that the angels should come down before them?
Or that your Lord may Himself come down?
Or that the manifest Signs of your Lord should appear?
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verses 2-3:This is a Book
which has been sent down to you. So, let
there be no hesitation in your mind about it.
This has been sent down that you may thereby warn (the disbelievers),
and that it may be an Admonition to the believers. O people, follow what has been sent down to
you from your Lord, and do not follow other ‘auliyaas’
besides Him. But you seldom take
Admonition!
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
