There is so much violence in the name of Islam
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Praise be to Allah. Peace be with the Prohet of God,
Muhhammad. May the word Islam bring PEACE to the world torn upart by violence
and hatered.
My question is:
Inspite of the right guidence and message of Peace, why
Muhhamadians spread across the world are taking to arms and violence? If they
have in mind that Islam is the only true way to approach GOD, then naturally
they will try to destroy whatever is un-Islamic. They will try to Conquer the
whole world by sword. Why every fight is named Jihad? Why even a criminal, if
he belongs to Islamic community is worshiped like Osama Bin Laden? Please help
me to understand Islam properly. Because according to me no religious book
permits killing of innocent people.

Answer:
In the name of
Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah
guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide
them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone,
and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Islam is indeed a religion of peace and harmony. It is a
religion that advocates peace, respect for life and humanity, and the freedom
that anyone can choose the Way of Life he or she wants to follow. There is absolutely no compulsion in the
deen of Islam, and it gives every individual the right to follow whatever way
he or she chooses.
Allah
says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah Kahf verse 29:Proclaim, “This is the
Truth from you Lord: now whoever wills
may accept it, and whosoever wills may reject it”.
Islam is a
religion that guarantees each individual the protection of his life, property
and honor. And Islam is a religion
which advocates justice, and abhors injustice in all its forms and
manifestations.
We will now try
to answer each of your accusations.
Your comment: why Muhhamadians spread across the
world are taking to arms and violence?
If one is persecuted, thrown out of his home, and
displaced from his land and country; the person has two choices: Either sit and watch this humiliation and
wail, or stand up and defend his life, property and honor. We would like to ask
you to think, where and why have the muslims taken up arms? Have the muslims
ever tried to conquer another non-muslim state or country in aggression? It is always the other countries which
have attacked the muslims and persecuted them.
Bosnia: The Serbs tried to wipe out the entire
muslim population in this country.
And when the Bosnian muslims rose up to protect their lives, property
and honor; they were termed terrorists.
Kosovo,
Albania, Macedonia…. Same story of
Serbian aggression!
Kashmir: There is an United Resolution that allows
the people of Kashmir a right for self-determination, but is purposely ignored
by the world community. There is widespread abuse of human rights and killings
of the muslims in Kashmir. When the
muslims rose to protect their lives, property and honor, they are known as
terrorists!
Algeria: When the muslims were at the brink of
winning the elections, the French influenced army generals brought in a ‘coup’
and took over the control of the country and prosecuted the muslims.
Chechnya: The Russians want to put their rule in a
predominant muslim region. Millions
of muslims have become refugees and have been driven out of their lands and
homes. When three thousand muslims rose
to defend their lands and property,
Russia sent in 200,000 troops to crush this ‘rebellion’.
Palestine: After World War II, the victorious Allies
implanted the State of Israel by force on muslim land, and supported the State
of Israel with weapons and will to implement this aggression. Almost the entire muslim population, who
have been living in that country for generations, were uprooted, looted,
beaten, and massacred. And when the
muslims rose to protect their lives, property and honor; they are called
terrorists!
If you see at
all the ‘hot-spots’ of violence, you will see one main reason in every
conflict. Every one of these nations
are having a muslims majority, but the World Powers want to influence these
nation with their rule, even if it
means by force. And when the muslims
oppose these imperialists, they are persecuted with blatant force and
injustice. Every one of these
conflicts are raised in self-defense against a force who wants to implant their
rule and their ideology over a people who have chosen to believe in the
Supremacy of the Law of their Creator, to the laws of man.

Islam is a religion of choice for almost 1.6 billion
believers in the world today. Islam
is very tolerant to other religions, but it is the modern secular world which
has showed its absolute intolerance towards Islam! The unbelievers have tried to force their culture, their
ideology, their laws, their views and
their sense of justice on the sovereign muslim nations. Do any muslim nation
force any of their Islamic ideas in the non-muslim countries? The Taleban
advocate the women in their sovereign country to wear the veil, but did they
ever go to the US or any non-muslim country to advocate their beliefs and
laws? The countries like Saudi Arabia
and Afghanistan have implemented the Shariah criminal law in their countries;
but did they ever try to enforce these Islamic Shariah laws in the countries of
the non-believers? Then why should
the laws and ideologies of the non-muslim world powers be implemented in sovereign
muslim nations across the world? It is
not Islam which is intolerant to the secular world, but rather it is secularism
which is intolerant towards Islam.
Islam is indeed the Only True Way of Allah, and every believer is bound
by the laws of Allah. And every
sovereign muslim nation, where the muslims are in the majority and want to
implement the laws of Allah, they must have a right to their
self-determination, to live as they choose.
It is not Islam that tries to destroy un-Islamic practices done by the
non-believers, but rather it is the non-believers who want to destroy
everything Islamic.
Your comment: They will try

This is probably the biggest lie and myth that has been
repeated in world history! Islam is a
religion and Way of Life that is chosen by the free will of the individual, and
is not something that can be forced upon someone. Every nation where there is turmoil, is not because the muslims
have tried to take over a non-muslim country; but rather because the muslims
who are in the majority want to live under the laws of their Creator, rather than the laws made by man! It is the West who is trying to conquer the
world with its ideology; and when that fails, they are the ones who use force to
subjugate the sovereign nations.
Honestly, please give me the name of one nation which the muslims have
tried to conquer by force in recent history?
You have mentioned the muslims want to conquer the whole world by force,
and all I am asking is the name of one nation where the muslims have tried to
conquer a nation of non-believers by force!
The sword is definitely against the muslims today; and
even then, Islam is the fastest growing and the most practiced religion in the
world!!! Islam conquers the hearts of
the people through the Message of Truth, not by force!

That is because every single fight is fought in the
nations where the muslims are the majority and they refuse to accept the
imperialist views and ideology over Islam.
Leave the muslims to determine their lives where they are in the
majority, and there will be no
Jihad! But when the world powers try to
take over a muslim nation and install their puppet governments, it is the right
of every believer to protect his life, his property, his honor and his deen of Islam.

The muslims worship none but their Creator! And every criminal,
whether he is Osama bin Ladin or anyone else, he must be brought to
justice. And justice means that
evidence and proof should be presented to an independent authority by the
prosecutors, and the right of defense should be given to the criminal to prove
his innocence. And every individual is
presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. But where is justice, when the powerful
alone are the prosecutors, the witnesses,
the jury, the judge and the executioners! This cannot be termed justice, but rather tyranny and oppression
would be more appropriate terms.

It would indeed be our honor and our pleasure to help you
understand Islam. And the best way to understand Islam, is to read and
understand the constitution of Islam; the Al-Quran. We urge you to read and
understand this Message of Truth which has been sent by the Lord of the Worlds
for the guidance of all mankind. Allah
has termed this Book the Criterion between Truth and falsehood, and Allah is
our witness, we have believed in this Criterion to determine the Truth from the
falsehood.
Allah says in the Holy Quran
Chapter 2, Surah Baqarah aayat 185: "Ramadan is the month in which the Quran
was sent down: this Book is a perfect guidance for mankind and consists of
CLEAR teachings which show the right way, and are a Criterion of the Truth and
falsehood."
In Allah we have believed, and to Him is our ultimate
return.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verses 125-126:So (the fact is that) whomever Allah wills to guide
aright, He makes his breast wide open to Islam. And whomever He wills to let go astray, He makes his breast
narrow and squeezes it so tight that (at the very idea of Islam) he begins to
feel as if his soul were climbing up towards the sky.
Thus Allah puts the wrath over those who do not believe,
whereas this Way is the Straight Way of your Lord, and We have made its Signs
quite clear for those who are open to advice.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
