One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

if astrologer predicts will it turn true.

 

I am scared because if listen to the astrologer i will be doing sin. I love him to much and i can`t bear him going with any other women.so can you say me any duah which will help me from this if it,  not to happen like what astrologer says. i will do it. Please take this seriously and please answer my question very fastly.  this is hurting me a lot for one year. so i like to put an end to this please help me.

Astrology and future telling

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,  no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Q-1: if astrologer predicts will it turn true?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verses160:

If Allah helps you,  none can overcome you!  And if Allah forsakes you,  who is there, then, after Allah that can help you?  Therefore,  the true believers should trust in Allah Alone.

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verses 106-107:

And do not call besides Allah,  any being that can neither do you any good nor any harm.  For if you will do so,  you shall be one of the doers of wrong.  If Allah afflicts you with a calamity,  there is none to remove it,  but He Himself.  Likewise,  if Allah wills to bestow a favor on you,  there is none to withhold Allah’s bounty.   He bestows His bounty on anyone of His servants He wills.  And He is The Forgiving,  The Merciful.

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 34:

Verily,  the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah Alone.   He it is Who sends down the rain,  and He Alone knows what is taking shape in the wombs of the mothers.   No living being knows what he will earn the next day,  nor does any know in what land he is to die!   Verily Allah is the All Knowing,  Wise.

 

Sahih Muslim Hadith 133    Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said:  “Don't you know what your Lord said?    Your Lord observed:  ‘I (Allah)  have never endowed My bondsmen with a favor,  but a section amongst them disbelieved it,  and said: stars, it was due to the stars.’”

 

It is absolutely prohibited for a believer to seek his fortune,  or find out about his future,  through the movement of the stars,  star signs,  or any other thing or device!    The Messenger of Allah (saws) called the people who read stars,  liars;  and invoked the curse of Allah on the ones who tried to read the stars,  and the ones who went to them to seek their fortune or future.   

 

The so-called knowledge of astrology,  or the deciphering of the happenings of the future by studying the position of the stars or any heavenly objects,  and the so-called star-signs are nothing more than absolute lies,  whims,  conjecture,  and guess-works of ignorant people.    There is absolutely no reality and relation between the movement of the stars and the events that take place in a person’s life!    

 

Everything that happens in the heavens and the earth,  is in the Absolute Control and Sole Domain of the All Powerful,  All Knowing Lord of the Worlds.    No star,  no sun,  no moon,  and absolutely nothing and no one in the universe has the power to bring about any good or evil on anyone.    All Power and All Strength is vested in the Hands of Allah Subhanah Alone.

 

To believe in astrology,  and to believe in the prediction of the star-signs,  palm-reading,  etc.  is a form and manifestation of the heinous sin of ‘shirk’;  and all the believers must abstain from this evil deed.   

 

The believers are commanded to abstain from all these false beliefs,  and put their trust in Allah Subhanah Alone.

First and foremost,  if we are indeed true believers in Allah and the Last Day,  we must absolutely,  completely,  totally,  utterly,  entirely,  categorically,  and unconditionally profess our disbelief in whatever the astrologer may have said!!!!    And put our absolute and unconditional trust in our Lord and Creator.    

 

To even believe a part of what the astrologer has said,  is to disbelieve in the Divine Decree and Qadr of our Lord;  and a heinous sin.   Thus the believers must absolutely abstain from such false beliefs; and put their full trust and belief in the Power and Might of the One Lord Alone!   Allah Alone has the Power and Knowledge of everything that is in existence,  and absolutely no one else.   

 

My beloved sister in Islam,  put your full trust in Allah,   and absolutely discard from your mind and thoughts what the astrologer might have said;  and seek immediate forgiveness from Allah Subhanah for having gone to the astrologer in the first place.    

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verses160:

Trust and believe in the Lord that Created everything in existence.   If He helps you,  no combination of people can hurt you!   And if He forsakes you,  there is none in the Universe who can help you.   Therefore,  put your trust in Allah Subhanah Alone.

 

And rest assured,  your Lord knows very well the condition of all His slaves.   Thus pray and supplicate to Him in all humility,  in your own words,  and in your own language;  for He is indeed near and answers the supplications of His slaves.

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 186:

And if  My servants ask you,  O Prophet, concerning Me,  tell them that I am quite near to them.   I hear and answer the prayer of the suppliant,  when he calls on Me.   So let them respond to My call and believe in Me.  (Convey this to them),  perhaps they may be guided aright!

 

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chater 40 Surah Mumin verse 60:

And Your Lord says, “Call upon Me.  I will answer your prayers.   Those who disdain My worship on account of arrogance,  shall certainly enter Hell in disgrace!”

 

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
