Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
I have
got this dream for the third or fourth time regarding baby in my arms or a
child i try to rescue but i am helpless as it dies and people around me too are
helpless which depress me n i cry that i couldn`t help ,suddenly after an hour
or two the baby gets alive subhanallah i was overjoyed with the miracle.i would
like to know what does this dream indicate.

Dreams
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and
whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness
that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.144 Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "When the
Day of Resurrection approaches, the dreams of a true believer will hardly fail
to come true, and a dream of a believer is one of forty-six parts of
Prophetism, and whatever belongs to Prothetism can never be false."
Muhammad bin Sirin said, "It used to be said, 'There are three types of dreams:
• The reflection of one's thoughts and experiences one has during
wakefulness,
• what is suggested by the Shaytaan to frighten the dreamer,
• or glad tidings from Allah.
So, if someone has a dream which he dislikes,
he should not tell it to others, but get up and offer a prayer.'"
In light of the above hadith, if one has a good dream then
it is always from Allah Subhanah in the form of good tidings. Whenever one experiences good dreams and good
tidings, one must be grateful to Allah Subhanah and redouble his efforts in
doing good righteous deeds to make himself more deserving of the honor which
their Lord Most Merciful has bestowed upon them.
If one has an evil or frightening dream, it is, without an
iota of a doubt, from the accursed Shaytaan.
One should immediately take refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytaan,
disregard the dream and never mention the dream to anyone, for it will never be
able to harm him.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.168 Narrated by Abu Salama
I used to see a dream which would make me
sick till I heard Abu Qatada saying, "I too, used to see a dream which
would make me sick till I heard the Prophet (saws) saying, "A good dream
is from Allah, so if anyone of you saw a dream which he liked, he should not
tell it to anybody except to the one whom he loves, and if he saw a dream which
he disliked, then he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil and from the
evil of the Shaytaan, and spit three times (on his left) and should not tell it
to anybody, for it will not harm him."
If you experience any dream which is scary or
frightful, rest assured that they are from the Shaytaan…you should immediately
seek refuge in Allah Subhanah from its evil as soon as you wake up, recite the
‘Muawwedaat’ (Surah 113th Al-Falaq and the Surah 114th An-Naas),
spit three times on your left, and should not relate the evil dream to anyone.
If you have sought refuge in Allah from its evil, it will never ever be able to
harm you in the least.
Jabir reported that the Prophet (saws) said:
‘If someone of you sees an unpleasant dream he should spit three times on his
left side and seek Allah's refuge from the accursed Shaytaan, and change the
side on which he was lying.'
Reported by Muslim, Abu Daw'ud, Nasa-i, and
Ibn Majah.
Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, in light of
the above guidance, it is more than likely that the dream you experienced was
no more than a reflection of the thoughts of fear for the safety of the
children.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah
verse 51:
Say: "Nothing will happen to us except what
Allah has decreed for us: He is our Protector"; and
on Allah let the believers put their trust.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 17:
17 If Allah touch thee with affliction
none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness He hath power over
all things.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah
Ahzaab verse 3:
And put your trust in Allah Alone; and enough is
Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is only
ones. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
