Answer:

Sex in Bath talking & condoms

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,  no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Except for a few things which have been forbidden to the believers,  the believers have full liberty to enjoy their conjugal relationships with their spouses.   The things which are deemed forbidden in Shariah are:

  1. Having sex with the wife during her menstrual periods.
  2. Anal Sex.
  3. Homosexuality.
  4. Oral Sex.

Other than the above,  the believers have the liberty to enjoy conjugal relations with their spouses any way they wish.

Q-1: I was just wondering if having sex in the bath tub is allowed?

There is no harm in having sex in the bath tub,  the shower,  the Jacuzzi,  the swimming pool,  etc.    But one must take extreme care that this act is done in absolute privacy,  and not in front of other people.

Q-2:  and are we allowed to talk while having sex?

There is absolutely no harm and no restrictions regarding talking while having sex in Islam.

Q-3:   are we allowed to wear condoms??

The majority of the scholars in Islam are of the opinion that any form of contraception which is not of a permanent nature is allowed.    Islam has allowed the believers to space their children;   but has absolutely prohibited the permanent stoppage of having children.   It is reported that some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws) practiced ‘coitus-interruptus’;   which basically means that the men would remove their organs just at the time of ejaculation.

There is no harm if one uses a condom,   provided  his intention is to space the birth of his children, and in the mean time enjoy conjugal relations with his wife.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
