As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
ASSALAMU ALAIKUM BURHAN BHAI
I WANT TO KNOW THE SUPPLICATION FOR BELOW MENTIONED.
1 Now supplicate for the deceased, and then declare the
fourth and last ‘takbir’.
2 Make a general supplication.
IT IS VERY THANKFUL TO U
ALLAH HAFIZ

Answer:
What supplication to
make in funeral prayer
In the name of Allah,
We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah
guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide
them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah
Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the
seal of His Messengers.
The supplication which the
Messenger of Allah (saws) normally made for the deceased in the funeral prayer
was:
wa adhaab an naar.

(O Allah forgive him/her, have
mercy on him, overlook his faults, protect him from difficulty, grant him a
station of honor, grant increase in his space of entrance, cleanse him with
water and snow and hail and cleanse him from sins just as a white garment is
cleansed from impurities. And bestow upon him a home better than his (worldly)
home, a family better than his family, a spouse better than his spouse, and
save him from the tribulations of the grave and the torment of the Hell
Fire).
The general supplication from
the Sunnah is as follows:
Allah humma agfirli hayyina, wa
mayyitina, wa sagirina, wa kabirina, wa dhakarana, wa unthana, wa shahedana, wa
gayabana. Allah humma mann ahyaitahu minna fa ahyehi alal Islaam; wa mann
tawaffay tahu minna fa tawaffahu alal Emaan. Allah humma la tuhrimna ajra wala
todillana baadahu.
(O Allah, forgive the living
amongst us, and the deceased amongst us, and the young amongst us, and the
elderly amongst us, and the males amongst us, and the females amongst us, and
those who are present, and those who are absent. O Allah those amongst us whom
you have blessed to live, bless them to live their lives in Islam; and those
amongst us whom you Decree to die, take their souls in the state of faith. O
Allah do not diminish from us our rewards and do not let us go astray after
this).
