Answer:

Celebrate one who comes from Hajj

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

It is indeed a joyous occasion when a loved one returns from a pilgrimage of the Sacred House of Allah, and there is absolutely no harm if one chooses to wish and congratulate them on their accomplished pilgrimage.  But to make it a ritual to throw a party and/or give and receive gifts every time one goes and comes back from the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage would neither be correct nor in accordance with the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) and his noble companions….such a ritual, in time, becomes a burden on the believing society and should be avoided by those who fear Allah and the Last Day.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
