this question:
Assalamu Alaikkum Brother
I wanted to ask, is it posible to pray masjid prayer after
Asar? We go to masjid for Ifthar and we pray Asar
at home on time and is it posible to pray when we enter
the Masjid
If we breakfast in Masjid how should we respect the
masjid?
Jazakkam Allah Kheiran

Answer:
Pray tahiyat masjid
after asr
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Al-Muwatta Hadith
9.60
Yahya related from
Malik, from Amir ibn Abdullah ibn
az-Zubayr, from Amr ibn
Sulaymaz-Zuraqi, from Abu
Qatadaal-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Whenever you
enter the masjid, you should pray two
rakahs (tahiyat-ul-masjid) before you sit down."
Al-Muwatta Hadith 15.48
Yahya related from Malik from Muhammad ibn
Yahya ibn Habban from al Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah
(saws) forbade any prayer after (the obligatory prayer of) ‘Asr’ until the sun
had set, and prayer after (the obligatory prayer of) ‘Fajr’ until the sun had
risen.
Although the Messenger of Allah (saws) guided the
believers and it was his (saws) preferred Sunnah to offer a two-rakah ‘tahiyat
ul masjid’ prayer whenever one enters the masjid and intends to sit down,
because there is a specific prohibition regarding offering any optional prayer
after one has offered the obligatory ‘Asr’ prayer, the absolute majority of the
scholars and jurists in Islam are of the opinion that if one enters the
‘masjid’ after the ‘Asr’ prayer, one should not offer any optional prayer until
the sun has completely set.
One may recite the Glorious Quran, or praise, glorify,
extol, and remember Allah, or make as many supplications as one wills…..that
would Insha Allah suffice to respect and honor one’s entrance to the sacred
Houses of Allah.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only

alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
