this question:
Thanks for your mail.
Please tell me even after giving prompt payments to
labours they are stealing things and doing trecherous things and making the
company loss. What is the punishment for them as per islamic law.
1) let them go Allah will punish them.
2) catch and hand over to law and justice.
3) catch and beat them in public.
thanks for your proper reply,

Answer:
Punishment for
stealing labour
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Under any circumstance, an individual living in a
righteous Islamic State does not have the right to beat or punish another in
public by themselves, even if the other party is guilty of a crime as severe as
theft.
If one has evidence that one’s employees are stealing from
them, one has the right to hand over the evidence and the guilty employees to
the authorities of the land, and expect them to prosecute the guilty to the
full extent of the law.
Regardless of whether the people who are at guilt are
prosecuted and punished by the law of the land, or they get away with their
crime…..if they die in a state whereby they do not turn back unto their Lord
Creator and seek sincere repentance for their crime, they shall have a severe
accounting for their crime in the Presence of their Lord on that Tumultuous and
Inevitable Day of Judgment.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
