As salamualaykum brother
with
reference to the Hadith on burial
Please let me know if the following point is also applicable in the case of
dead body of ladies
3. The shroud should be scented and perfumed. The hadith is cited by
Ahmad and by Al-Hakim in accordance with Jabir`s narration that the Prophet
(saws) said: "If you perfume a dead body, do it three times." Abu
Sa`id, Ibn `Umar, and Ibn `Abbas directed their heirs in their wills to perfume
their shrouds with aloes-wood

Answer:
Perfume shroud of
deceased women
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
The guidance of the Messenger of Allah (saws) to apply
perfume to the shroud of the dead applies to both, the believing males and the
believing females.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
