One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
My
question is that :
If a
person breaks his ablution(wudu) during offering the prayer with jamaat will he
have to reoffer the prayer or the prayer would be accepted ??
(There may be some grammatical and spelling
errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from

Answer:
Break wudu during
prayer
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood
Hadith 205 Narrated by Ali ibn Talib
The Messenger of
Allah (saws) said: ‘When any of you breaks wind during the prayer, he should
turn away, perform ablution, and repeat the prayer.’
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.137 Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "The
prayer of a person who does ‘Hadath’ is not accepted till he performs (repeats)
the ablution." A person from
Hadaramout asked Abu Huraira, "What is 'Hadath'?" Abu Huraira replied, "'Hadath' means the
passing of wind from the anus."
To be in the state of ‘wudu’ is an absolutely obligatory
pre-condition when offering one’s prayers.
If one passes wind during prayers or breaks one’s ‘wudu’, that person
must leave the prayers immediately, re-do the ‘wudu’ and then perform the
prayer again.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
