Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

 

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Salaams brother, alhamdulilah i have strong and full faith in Allah and may He guide and protect us all from evil.

Is it a possibility that angels (farishta) can be sent by Allah for one`s protection if he/she asks Allah to protect them from evil ??

Because i spoke to someone over the phone who claimed as themselves to be farishta and that they were sent to that person (who i talki on the phone with) becuase they prayed to Allah for protecton from evil. The farishta was giving a lot of duas for my family and the person i was on the phone with. Also kept praising Allah for his mercy. The farishta Plus the person i speak to is really religious and does have strong faith in Allah and had asked Allah for their protection

So can you please tell whether there can be such possibility of farishta`s communicating with us, as im confused whether the protection is sent by Allah or is the Shaytaan

Can angels come as men

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Your Question: ….Is it a possibility that angels (farishta) can be sent by Allah for one`s protection if he/she asks Allah to protect them from evil ??

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah Raad verse 11:

11      For each there are (Angels) in succession, before and behind him: they guard him by the Command of Allah.  Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it themselves. But when Allah Wills a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find besides Him any to protect.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 82 Surah Infitaar verses 10-12:

10      But verily over you (are appointed Angels) to protect you

11      Kind and honorable, writing down (your deeds):

12      They know all that ye do!

 

Each and every human being has been assigned Angels by Allah Subhanah, and these Angels guard and protect the human being they are assigned to by the Command and the Will of Allah Subhanah.

In light of the above quoted guidance of the Glorious Quran, it is evident that each and every human being, regardless of whether that person is a believer or a disbeliever, has Angels assigned by their Lord Creator to guard them…..but these Angels do not talk, or respond, or communicate with the person or any other human being….they simply perform their duty in the unseen and fulfill the Commands of their Lord Most High. 

 

Respected brother, we absolutely assure you in the Blessed Name of the Lord, that whoever you might have spoken to on the phone, it could not have been an Angel of Allah Subhanah; and if the one on the other side of the phone claimed that ‘he’ is an Angel, rest assured that the person is no more than a confirmed and manifest liar!!!

 

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.  

 

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
