i wated to ask a question. i am small but a want to know thats why. when a person's foot hits another person's foot they shake hands if they don't then they will get into a fight. is this true or not? if it is not then why do people do it?

Answer:

Superstititon touch foot

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

If one happens to accidentally hit any part of another person’s body or their foot, and one shakes their hands as an extension of their apology for their unintentional accident….there is absolutely no harm.

But to believe that if perchance they don’t shake hands after their unintentional accident, it would result in a fight between the two would be an absolutely false and baseless belief and superstition….and such false beliefs, assumptions, and superstitions have absolutely no relation to the reality or truth!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
