Answer:
Mannat vow dargah
shirk
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Your Question: Iam girl interested to know weather can
person man or women can make maanat to get any wish.
The ‘mannat’ or ‘neeyah’ or promise that one makes that
‘if so and so thing is done I will do so and so…’ is what is known as a
‘nadhar’ (vow) in Fiqh or Jurisprudence terminology. In principle, there is no harm if one makes a
‘mannat’ or a ‘nadhar’ to get from their Lord whatever their hearts desire….but it is absolutely imperative that one
make this ‘mannat’ or ‘nadhar’ to none save Allah Subhanah Alone!
As much as it is lawful for one to make a ‘mannat’ or ‘nadhar’
unto their Lord, the Messenger of Allah (saws) discouraged the believers from
making such ‘nadhar’ or vows, for the truth is that the vow itself has
absolutely no bearing on what has already been Decreed and Determined by Allah
Subhanah!
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.685 Narrated by Abu Huraira
The Prophet (saws) said, "Allah says,
'The ‘nadhar’ (vow) does not bring about for the son of Adam anything I have
not decreed for him, but his ‘nadhar’ (vow) may coincide with what has been
decided for him, and by this way I cause a miser to spend of his wealth. So he
gives Me (spends in charity) for the fulfillment of what has been Decreed for
him what he would not give Me before but for his vow!"
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.683 Narrated by Said bin Al Harith
that he heard Ibn 'Umar saying, "Weren't
people forbidden to make ‘nadhar’ (vows)?" The Prophet (saws) said, 'A
‘nadhar’ (vow) neither hastens nor delays anything, but by the making of vows,
some of the wealth of a miser is taken out."
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.684 Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar
The Prophet discouraged the making of
‘nadhar’ (vows) and said, "It (a vow) does not prevent anything (that has
to take place), but (through the vow) the property of a miser is spent (taken
out) with it."
Some people have a habit that they are reluctant to do a
good deed or spend some of their wealth in the Cause of Allah, without putting
a condition with their Lord that only if He gives him such and such, only then
will he do such and such a good deed!
The truth is that these conditions do not help in expediting or bringing
about what their heart desires, for only that will happen what has been already
Decreed and Determined by Allah Subhanah!
A better way than making a ‘nadhar’ or vow, is to do
whatever good deeds one wills and beg and implore their Lord in all humility
and hope to bestow upon them whatever their hearts desires.
Having said that making a ‘nadhar’ or a vow is discouraged
in Islam and one should not make conditions with their Lord in their supplications,
Allah Subhanah in His Glorious Quran has appreciated and praised those
believers who fulfill their ‘nadhars’ or vows that they have made with their
Lord!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 76 Surah
Dhahr verses 5-12:
5 As to the Righteous they shall drink of a
Cup (of Wine) mixed with Kafur
6 A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in
unstinted abundance.
7 They perform (or fulfill their) ‘nazar’ (vows) and they fear a Day whose evil flies far and wide.
8 And they feed for the love of Allah, the
indigent, the orphan, and the captive
9 (saying): "We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: No reward
do we desire from you nor thanks.
10 We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath
from the side of our Lord."
11 But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that Day and will shed
over them a light of Beauty and a (Blissful) Joy.
12 And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with
a Garden and (garments of) silk.
If one has already made a vow to fast, or spend in
charity, or offer ‘nawafil’ prayers, or go themselves or send someone for
pilgrimage, or do a good deed, etc. unto their Lord when their heart’s desire
is fulfilled, then it would be best for the person to now fulfill their vow
they made unto their Lord; it is expected that they will have their full reward
with their Lord for keeping their promises made unto Him.
Your Question: …..like some people will say tht they will
16 sayed ka liya roza..(fasting).is it permitted in islam or going to any shire
daraga to want a wise to get it form Allah through him.is it permitted to take
such roza or fasting
There is allowance in Shariah if one wishes to make a
‘mannat’ or a ‘nadhar’ unto Allah Subhanah, the Lord and Creator of everything
in existence……but Allah is our witness sister, if one makes a ‘mannat’ or a
‘nadhar’ for absolutely anyone else other than Allah Subhanah Alone, that would
constitute the absolute unforgivable abomination and crime of ‘shirk’ in the
Sight of Allah Subahnah!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verse 2-3:
So worship Allah Alone, making your religion His exclusively. Beware!
Religion is the exclusive Right of Allah. As
for those who have taken other ‘auliyas’ with Allah (and justify their this
conduct by saying): “We serve them only that they may bring us closer to
Allah.” Allah will surely judge
between them concerning all that in which they differ. Allah does not show guidance to any liar and
denier of the Truth.
Supplications, prayers, fasting, charity, pilgrimage,
sacrifice, etc. are rites of worship, and worship is due to none save Allah
Subahnah Alone! To make a ‘mannat’ or a
‘nadhar’ that one would fast for the supposed ‘sayed’, or to go to a ‘dargah’ or a shrine of one of the
pious slaves of Allah, etc. would be to fulfill the rites of worship which are
due exclusively to Allah Subhanah to someone else in creation…..and that,
without an iota of a doubt, would constitute the absolute abomination and
unforgivable crime and sin of ‘shirk’ in the Sight of Allah Subahnah!!!
Regardless of how pious or righteous that ‘sayed’ or the
ones buried in their graves in the ‘dargahs’ may have been….they are now dead
and they simply do not have the power or the ability in the least to hear the
supplications made unto them, nor can they respond to the invocations, nor do
they have any influence whatsoever on the Decisions and the Decrees of The Lord
Most Majestic, Most Supreme!!! To invoke
them in the ‘unseen’, or ask them to take their supplications to Allah, or ask
them to get something from Allah, or even only to assume or believe that those
buried in the graves can hear, leave alone respond to their supplications is to
commit the absolute abomination of ‘shirk’ or associate others with Allah
Subhanah, the Majestic and Supreme Lord of the Worlds!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah
Ahqaf verses 4-6:
O Prophet (saws), say to them, "Have you
ever seen them with open eyes those whom you invoke instead of Allah? Show me
what they have created in the earth? Or have they any share in the creation and
control of the heavens? Bring me a Book revealed before this, or produce some
remnant of knowledge in support of your beliefs if you are truthful." And
who could be further astray than the one who invokes, besides Allah, those who
cannot answer him till the Day of Resurrection! Nay, they are even UNAWARE THAT
THEY ARE BEING INVOKED. And when all mankind shall be gathered together (on the
Day of Qiyamah), they (the so called intercessors) will become enemies of those
who invoked them and they will DISOWN THEIR WORSHIP!!!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus
verse 18:
These people invoke beside Allah those which can
neither harm nor benefit them, and they say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’
(intercessors) with Allah!” (O Mohammed
(saws)), tell them, “Do you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He Knows
not in the heavens, or in the earth?” He
is absolutely free from, and far exalted above the shirk that they commit!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah
Nahl verse 20-21:
All the other beings, whom the people invoke with Allah, create nothing! Nay,
they are themselves created.
They are DEAD, not living, and
they do not at all know themselves when they shall again be raised to life!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah
Yunus verses 28-30:
On the Day when We will muster them
together, We shall say to those who
committed ‘shirk’, “Stay where you are,
you and those whom you set up as partners with Us.” The We shall remove the state of strangeness
from among them, and the partners they
had set up will say, “You did not worship us!
Allah suffices as a witness between you and us, and (even if you worshipped us), we were
utterly unaware of your worship!” At
that time everyone will taste of what he did.
All shall be brought back to Allah,
their real Lord, and all the lies
they had invented will vanish from them!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah
Kahf verse 102:
What? Do
these people, who have disbelieved, presume that they would make My servants their
‘auliyaas’ besides Me? We have prepared
Hell for the hospitality of such people.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35Surah
Fatir verses 13-14:
He merges night into day, and day into
night, and he has subjected the Sun and
the Moon (to His Law); each one runs its
course for an appointed term. Such is
Allah, your Lord! To Him belongs all
Dominion. Those whom you invoke besides
Him, do not own even a blade of
grass! If you call them, they cannot hear your prayers! And if they hear, they cannot answer you! And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your ‘shirk’. None can inform you of the Truth, like the One Who is acquainted with all
things.
Respected sister in Islam, if anyone makes a ‘mannat’ or
‘nadhar’, or fulfills any of the rites of worship like fasting, or prayers, or
charity, or sacrifice or pilgrimage, etc. for anyone other than Allah Subahnah
Alone….or anyone invokes or makes any supplication to anyone in the ‘unseen’
except Allah Subahnah….or anyone visits the ‘dargah’ of one of the pious slaves
of Allah and assumes that those dead and buried in their graves can hear their
supplications, or take their supplications to Allah, or intercede for them unto
Allah, or get them something from their Lord Most Majestic, etc…..without an
iota of a doubt, that would constitute the abomination of ‘shirk’ in the Sight
of Allah Subhanah!!!
Allah is our witness sister, if these people do not turn
back to their Lord Creator in ‘taubah’ and seek forgiveness for their
abomination of associating other deities with Allah Subhanah……the eternal and
ever-lasting torment of the Hell Fire will be their guaranteed abode!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah
Maidah verse 72:
Whoever
commits ‘shirk’ (invoking anything with Allah),
Allah shall forbid for him
Allah says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa
Verse 48
Shirk
(associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that Allah does not
forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this. For whosoever associates any other partner
with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous sin
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah
Zumar verse 65-66:
If you
commit ‘shirk’ all your works will be rendered vain and you will be among the
losers. Therefore, you should worship Allah Alone, and be among His grateful servants.
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
