Stones and stars belief shirk.
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
(May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Assalaam alaikum,
Regarding Stars, people say that wearing stones according
to stars. Means what is the date of birth, according to that stars are there.
So according to date of birth, in which month we are born, we should wear the
stones according to that. So is it really like that it should match our birth month.
Stones are of different kinds, so we cannot wear any type
of stone. We should wear according to the month in which we are born.
I hope my question clear

Answer:
Stones and stars
belief shirk
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale
Imran verses160:
If Allah helps you, none can overcome you! And if Allah forsakes you, who is there,
then, after Allah that can help you?
Therefore, the true believers should trust in Allah Alone.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah
Yunus verses 106-107:
And do not call besides Allah, any being that
can neither do you any good nor any harm.
For if you will do so, you shall be one of the doers of wrong
(shirk)! If Allah afflicts you with a
calamity, there is none to remove it, but He Himself. Likewise, if Allah wills to bestow a favor on
you, there is none to withhold Allah’s Bounty. He bestows His Bounty on anyone
of His servants He wills. And He is The
Forgiving, The Merciful.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 17:
17 If Allah touches thee with affliction none can remove it but He; if
He touches thee with happiness He hath Power over all things.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verse 2:
2 What Allah out of His Mercy doth bestow
on mankind, there is none who can withhold: what He doth withhold, there is
none can grant apart from Him: and He is the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom.
Dear and beloved brother in Islam, everything, absolutely
everything that takes place in the Universe happens with the precise Will and
Permission of Allah Subhanah Alone, for He Alone is the Owner of All Strength
and All Power.
Allah is our witness brother, no stone, no stars, no lines
in one’s palms, absolutely nothing of the ‘unseen’ except Allah Subhanah our
Lord and Creator has the Power to bring about any good or harm on its own!
To believe that some stones (or anything else in creation)
can bring about any good to someone in the ‘unseen’, or to believe some stones (or
anything else) can save one from any harm, or some stones (or anything else)
have the power by themselves to influence absolutely anything in one’s lives or
one’s behavior, etc….is a manifest act of disbelief and ‘shirk’! Nothing, absolutely nothing in the Universe
has the Power or the Strength or the Ability to bring about any good or harm
upon anyone in the ‘unseen’ except the Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme Alone;
thus the believers who sincerely fear Allah and the Last Day should keep their
full trust and belief in Him and Him Alone.
Sahih Muslim Hadith 133 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Don't you know what your Lord said? Your Lord observed: ‘I (Allah)
have never endowed My bondsmen with a favor, but a section amongst them disbelieved
it, and said: stars, it was due to
the stars!’”
One’s date of birth, the positions of the stars on that
particular day, and the stones have absolutely no relation to each other! If
one were to believe that a stone (or anything else in creation) can bring about
some good or remove some harm …. such a belief would constitute a clear and
manifest act of the abomination and unforgivable crime of ‘shirk’ in the Sight of Allah Subhanah; and
any believer who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day must absolutely
abstain from all such false and baseless beliefs!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah
Zumar verse 65-66:
If you commit ‘shirk’ all your works will
be rendered vain and you will be among the losers.
Therefore, you should worship
Allah Alone, and be among His grateful
servants.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah
Maidah verse 72:
Whoever commits ‘shirk’ (invoking
anything with Allah), Allah shall forbid
for him
Allah
says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa Verse 48
Shirk (associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that
Allah does not forgive, and He
forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this. For whosoever associates any other partner
with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous sin
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
