Answer:
Wear undergarments
in ehram umrah
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Abdullah ibn Umar (r.a.) reported that the
Prophet (saws) said: "A person (male) in a state of ‘ihram’ for pilgrimage
is not allowed to wear a sewn shirt, a turban, a hooded robe, underpants, a cloth that has
been dyed with sweet smelling fragrance (such as saffron), shoes or sewn
slippers, unless one is unable to find regular unsown slippers, then one may
wear his shoes provided one cuts them down to the ankles." Related by
Bukhari and Muslim.
As for a woman pilgrim, she may wear all of the above. But
she is forbidden to use perfumed clothes, a veil that covers the face, or
gloves.
Abdullah Ibn Umar (r.a.) reported:
"Allah's Messenger (saws) forbade women pilgrims in the state of ‘ihram’
from wearing gloves, veils (that cover her face), and clothes dyed with saffron
or ‘warse’ (A sweet smelling plant that was used to dye clothes yellow). Besides
these, they may wear anything else, any color, silk clothes, ornaments,
trousers, or a shirt or shoes."
Related by Abu Daw'ud, Al-Baihaqi and
Al-Hakim.
In light of the above quoted guidance of the Messenger of
Allah (saws) the wearing of undergarments or any stitched clothing is
prohibited for the males during their state of ‘ihram’ for pilgrimage; but
there is absolutely no such restriction on the believing females. She may wear her undergarments in her state
of ‘ihram’ if she so wishes, and she may abstain if she so wishes.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
