muslim or not
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Sahih Muslim Hadith 6623 Narrated by Hanzalah
I (Hanzalah (r.a.)) met Abu Bakr. He (Abu Bakr (r.a.)) asked: ‘Who are
you?’ He (Hanzalah (r.a.)) said:
‘Hanzalah has turned out to be a hypocrite!’
He (Abu Bakr (r.a.)) said: ‘Hallowed be Allah! What are you
saying?’ Thereupon he (Hanzalah (r.a.))

My dear and beloved brother in Islam, the very fact that
one constantly fears whether or not the disease of hypocrisy has entered one’s
heart, or whether or not one is indeed a true believer, or whether or not one’s
deeds are acceptable to their Lord…..is a clear sign and an extension of one’s
true faith in belief in their Lord Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
A true believer is one who never considers himself safe
from the disease of hypocrisy; it is only the hypocrites who are absolutely
oblivious to this abomination of a disease, who assume themselves to be
believers, and who fear not whether or not their deeds are acceptable to their
Lord Most High!
Respected brother, as long as you have this fear regarding
whether your faith and your deeds are acceptable to your Lord, rest assured
that this is a manifest sign of true belief……it is only when this fear
regarding one’s faith and the acceptance of one’s deeds disappears from one’s
heart, one should start worrying whether the disease of hypocrisy has indeed
made a home in their hearts!
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
