Answer:
Sunnah of cutting
nails
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari
Hadith 7.779 Narrated by Abu
Huraira
I heard the Prophet
(saws) saying. "Five practices are characteristics of the ‘Fitra’
(nature): removing the pubic hair, clipping the nails, depilating
the hair of the armpits; and circumcision and cutting the moustaches short (for
the males)

Question: IS THIS THE
To the best of our knowledge, there is nothing in the
authentic and established Sunnah which requires or encourages the believers to
follow a particular or specific way or method when fulfilling the ‘fitra’ of
clipping one’s nails. One is at absolute liberty to clip the nails of any
finger/s first and/or last as one wills and pleases or is convenient for them.
Your
Question: AND IS IT NOT GOOD TO CUT NAILS IN HOME AND AFTER MAGHRIB
To the best of our knowledge, there is nothing in the
authentic and established Sunnah which specifies a place or a time of the day
or night whereby one is permitted or prohibited to clip their nails. One is at liberty in Islam to clip their
nails at any place and at any time of the day or night one pleases or is
convenient for them.
The ones who claim that nails should be clipped in a
particular order of fingers, or that it is prohibited in Islam for one to clip
their nails at home after ‘magrib’ time should be asked to provide the evidence
for their claim from the authentic and established Sunnah. If they are unable to provide proof for the
claims from the Quran or Sunnah, one should know with absolute conviction that
such recommendations and prohibitions are self-invented falsehoods and have
absolutely nothing to do with the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws).
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
