Answer:
Gifts and
circumcision during hajj
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.305 Narrated by Abu Humaid As Saidi
The Prophet (saws) employed Ibn Al-Utbiyya to
collect Zakah from the tribe of Bani Sulaim, and when he returned (with the
zakah dues) to Allah's Messenger (saws), the Prophet (saws) called him to
account, and he (Al-Utbiyya) said, "This (amount) is for you, and this was
given to me as a present." Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "Why don't
you stay at your father's house or your mother's house to see whether you will
be given gifts or not, if you are telling the truth?" Then Allah's
Messenger (saws) stood up and addressed the people, and after glorifying and
praising Allah, he (saws) said: ‘I employ some men from among you for some job
which Allah has placed in my charge, and then one of you comes to me and says,
'This (amount) is for you and this is a gift given to me.' Why doesn't he stay
at the house of his father or the house of his mother and see whether he will
be given gifts or not if he was telling the truth? By Allah, none of you takes
anything of it for himself unlawfully, but he will meet Allah on the Day of
Resurrection carrying it on his neck! I do not want to see any of you carrying
a grunting camel, or a mooing cow, or a bleating sheep, on meeting Allah."
Then the Prophet raised both his hands till I saw the whiteness of his armpits,
and he (saws) said: ‘Haven't I conveyed Allah's Message!"
Respected sister in Islam, if your husband is employed and
is working in an organization in a position of authority, and because of his
position he receives any gift from the suppliers….to take the gift for himself
would indeed be unlawful for him in the Sight of Allah Subhanah.
It would only be piety and righteousness on his part to
either abstain from accepting gifts from that position altogether, or if he is
forced to take it by the suppliers, he should present that gift to the
company. If the owners of the company
then give the gift back to him or allow him to keep the gift, there is
absolutely no harm. But for your husband
to accept the gift for himself, a gift which he received only because he was
placed in a position of authority by the management of the company, without
getting specific approval from the owners or the management of the company
would be absolutely unlawful for him in the Sight of Allah Subhanah.

Question: Since the month of Hajj will be starting is it allowed to do
circumcision of newly born child (or anybody)during these first ten days
There is absolutely no day or night of the year on which
it is specified in Shariah that circumcision of a new-born child is prohibited….be
it the first ten days of Hajj or any other days of the year.
Except for those pilgrims who are actually in the state of
‘ehram’ for pilgrimage, one is at absolute liberty to perform the circumcision
at any time of the year they wish or is convenient for them.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the
Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
