What does Islam
have to say about homosexuals and men who claim they were born that way, and
have not control over what does and does not attract them. I have a few friends
who are gay and are in this dilemma where they want to become good muslims,yet
have been cursed with homosexuality and despite many many efforts have not been
able to come to terms with it. Please could you shed some light on this
subject....and the fact that 1 of every 10 men ARE homosexual.....does that
mean 1 of every 10 muslim men are homosexual. Science and psychology do not
reject it, so why does Islam. Can it not be true that Allah made some humans
hetrosexual and some human homosexual ?? A taboo issue...that need some light !

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Your question: What does Islam have to say about
homosexuals
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraf verses 80-82:And We sent Lot as a Messenger. And he said to his people, “Have you become
so shameless that you commit such indecent acts as no one committed before you
in the world? You gratify your lust
with men instead of women. Indeed you
are a people who are transgressors of all limits!” But the only answer his people gave was, “turn out these people
from your habitations for they pose to be very pious.”
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verses 82-83:Accordingly, when the time of the execution of Our Judgement came (for the
people of Lot), We turned the
habitation upside down and rained on it stones of baked clay, each of which had been specifically marked
by your Lord. And such a scourge is
not far from the tyrannous people!
Homosexuality is absolutely
forbidden in Islam. It is an
abomination and a grave sin in the eyes of Allah, and in Islam the doers of this sin are punishable by death!
This deed is deemed un-natural
and against humanity and society in Islam.
This deed is an evil and immoral deviation of man, and is not even found in the lower forms of
animate life! Allah destroyed the
whole habitation of Prophet Lot, and
turned the whole city upside-down, and
rained on them a rain of brim-stones for their sin of homosexuality. It was not that every individual in Sodom
and Gomorrah who were destroyed committed sodomy; but even those who accepted it,
propagated it, looked upto it as a norm and fashion, and allowed it without raising a voice
against this abomination, were all destroyed by Allah Subhanah.
And Allah warns in the Holy
Quran: ‘And such a scourge is not far from the
tyrannous people!’ Thus if in
the world today, this act of sodomy is
propagated and accepted as normal and as fashionable, and society as a whole does not
take steps to abolish this abomination,
the scourge that came upon the people of Sodom and Gomorrah is not far!
We seek refuge in Allah from His
Wrath and His Anger and His Punishment!

The people who say that they are
physically attracted to the same sex as theirs are manifest and shameless
liars! No one knows man and his
nature more than the One Who Created man,
and gave him his nature….and He Declares that this attraction of
male-to-male or female-to-female is an unnatural and a shameless deviation of
man himself!

The believers, who sincerely fear Allah and the Last
Day, have two choices:
Our Lord and Creator is a
Merciful and Just Lord, and He is far
Exalted and High above ever being unjust to any of His creation. Allah Subhanah destroyed the inhabitants
of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (the community of Prophet Lot (a.s.))
because they indulged in and accepted the evil practice of homosexuality! If homosexuality was a natural phenomenon
(as claimed by some ignorant-modern-educated people), then it would have been unjust of Allah Subhanah to destroy a
people because of their natural attraction towards their same sex!
Either we believe in the Decrees
and Commands of Allah Subhanah, or we
believe in the claims of the homosexuals!
The decision is for each individual to make for himself.
Your question: and
the fact that 1 of every 10 men ARE homosexual.....does that mean 1 of every 10
muslim men are homosexual.
One must have the intelligence
to differentiate clearly between ‘fact’ and ‘hearsay or theory or claims’! If the statistics state that one out of
every ten men today are homosexual,
then the fact remains that one out of every ten men have deviated from
their natural paths to the path of sin,
and chosen of their own free will to be associated sexually with a
member of their same sex!

The Holy Quran never ever will
go against any ‘Scientific Fact’; for
the Perfect Creator who created the heavens and the earth and everything that exists
in between, is the same Creator Who
created its ‘science’!
Thus, we must learn to differentiate between ‘Scientific Fact’ and
‘Theory’! The Glorious Quran may or
may not agree with some theories, but
‘scientific fact’ will Always, I repeat, Always,
conform with the Quran 100%!
Homosexuality as a natural
phenomena is nothing but a theory, and
Islam absolutely and categorically denounces this false theory, just as Islam denounces the theory that man originated
from apes!
The Earth is spherical
shaped, revolves around its axis at a
considerable speed is a scientific fact and in accordance with the Quran! The Sun,
the Moon and all the other heavenly bodies move in their own orbit is a
scientific fact, and in accordance with
the Quran! The process of birth of man
in the womb of a woman is a scientific fact,
and in absolute accordance with the Quran! Although The Glorious Quran is not a book of science, no scientific fact will ever go against the
guidance and teachings of the Quran;
for the One Who Revealed this Glorious Book of Guidance is no other than
the One Who Created everything in existence and gave it its nature!

it not be true that Allah made some humans hetrosexual and some human
homosexual ?
It would be as impossible for man to prove that some human beings are born homosexuals, as it would be to prove that the origin of man came from apes….for both of them are nothing but false theories and against the very guidance and the teachings of the One Who Created everything in existence!
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
