Answer:
Allah self
sufficient praiseworthy
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Allah Subhanah is the Lord, Creator, Sustainer, Cherisher,
Provider, and the Sole Owner and Master of absolutely each and everything in
creation……Everything in existence between the heaven and the earth stands in
need of Him; but The Lord Majestic does not ‘need’ absolutely anything from any
in His creation….for The Lord Most Supreme is absolutely Self-Sufficient and
inherently Self-Praiseworthy.
The All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord bestowed two things upon
His best creation (ie. mankind) which He did not bestow upon any in His Supreme
Creation, and thus put mankind to a test:
Whoever amongst man studies and ponders over the
innumerable wonders and Signs in the various creations of the Majestic Lord,
and uses his bestowed intelligence and power of reasoning to understand his
mission of creation, recognize His Supreme Lord and Creator, and of his own
‘free will’ chooses to submit his will to the Will of his Creator, and chooses
to live his life in accordance with the guidance of his Creator, passes the
test of life and is promised the Eternal Mercy, Grace, and Rewards of Allah
Subhanah.
And whoever amongst man uses his bestowed intelligence and
power of reasoning to do everything else but does not recognize or denies his
Supreme Creator, refuses to submit his will to the Will of His Creator, and of
his own ‘free will’ chooses to live his life in accordance with any guidance
other than that of His Supreme Creator, miserably fails the test of life and
will have a severe accounting in the Presence of His All-Mighty and Majestic
Lord on an Inevitable Day.
It is not the Lord Creator, Most Majestic, Most Supreme
Who needs or wants anything from anyone in His creation…..but it is we who
desperately seek the Mercy of our Lord Most Gracious.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah
Luqmaan verse 26:
26 To Allah belong all things in heaven and earth: verily Allah is He
(that is) Free of all wants; Worthy of all Praise.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 131:
131 To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth. Verily We have directed the ‘People of the
Book’ before you and you (O Muslims) to fear Allah. But if ye deny Him; Lo! Unto Allah belong all
things in the heavens and on earth, and Allah is Free of all wants;
Worthy of all Praise.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse 64:
64 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: for verily
Allah He is Free of all wants; Worthy of all Praise.
Your
Statement: …..a christian girl told me if Allah wants us to do certain things
that means He is in need.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2344 Narrated by Abu Dharr
Allah's Messenger (saws) said that Allah the
Most High Says, "My servants, all of you are astray except him whom I have
guided, but if you ask Me for guidance I will guide you. All of you are poor
except him whom I have enriched, but if you ask of me I will give you provision; all of you are sinners
except him whom I have preserved (from
sin), but if any of you knows that I have power to pardon and ask my pardon I
will pardon him, and I do not care. If the first and the last of you, the
living and the dead among you, those of you who are fresh and those of you who
are withered, all had hearts as pious as the heart of the most pious of My
servants, that would not add as much as a gnat's wing to My Dominion. If
the first and last of you, the living
and the dead among you, those of you who are fresh and those of you who are
withered, had all hearts as wretched as the heart of the most wretched of My
servants, that would not diminish as much as a gnat's wing from My Dominion.
If the first and last of you, the living and the dead among you, those of you
who are fresh and those of you who are
withered, were gathered in one plain, each one of you asking all he
could hope for, and I were to grant the request of each of you who asked, that
would cause no more diminution in My dominion than if one of you passed by the
sea and, after dipping a needle in it, took it out, that being because I
am Generous and Glorious, doing what I
wish. My giving is (but) a ‘Word’, and my punishment is (but) a ‘Word”. My
Command to a thing when I want it is just to say to it `Be' and it comes into
being!"
The Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme does not want or need
anything from absolutely anyone in creation……on the contrary it is we who
desperately need the Mercy and the Favors of our Lord in this life and the next! If all of mankind, the first and the last
amongst them, were to choose to disobey Allah Subhanah….Allah is our witness
brother, it would not effect or reduce the High and Lofty Rank and Status of
the Lord Creator in the absolute least!
And if all of mankind, the first and the last amongst them, were all to
choose to obey their Lord Creator, it would not increase the High and Lofty
Rank and Status of the Lord Most Supreme in the absolute least…..for Allah
Subhanah is absolutely Self-Sufficient and inherently Praiseworthy!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verses 15-17:
15 O ye men! It is ye that have need of Allah: but Allah is the
One Free of all wants; Worthy of all Praise.
16 If He so pleased He could blot you out
and bring in a new creation:
17 Nor is that (at all) difficult for Allah!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 14 Surah
Ibraheem verses 7-8:
7 And remember! Your Lord caused to be declared (publicly): "If
ye are grateful I will add more (favors) unto you; but if ye show ingratitude
truly My punishment is terrible indeed."
8 And Moses said: "If ye show ingratitude ye and all on earth
together--yet is Allah Free of all wants; Worthy of all Praise.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah
Luqmaan verse 12:
12 …Any who is grateful (unto their Lord) does so to the profit of his
own soul: but if any is ungrateful verily
Allah is Free of all wants; Worthy of all Praise.
If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and
commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any
other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be
assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
