I read in your questions that we should not recite Darood-e-taj.

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Aasak,

Thankyou so much for the detailed reply which indeed cleared all my doubts. May Allah reward you. There was another question which was about "Panjsuras". What   I need to ask is that  should we recite duas in 'panjsuhras'. I read in your questions that we should not recite Darood-e-taj   so what about darood-e-akbar and Dua-e-ganjul-arsh and other duas from Panjsuras? Should we recite these or not ?

Thanks

Answer:

Different duroods

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: What I need to ask is that should we recite duas in 'panjsuhras'.

Beloved Sister in Islam, we absolutely assure you in the Name of Allah Subhanah that the Messenger of Allah (saws) never ever mentioned anything about what is known or called as ‘Panjsuhras’…..and the reason we are so confident in saying that is because there is no alphabet in the Arabic language as ‘Pa’….thus whoever might have invented this thing called the ‘Panjsuhras’, we absolutely assure you that it is not from Allah and His Messenger (saws)!!!

Your Question: I read in your questions that we should not recite Darood-e-taj   so what about darood-e-akbar and Dua-e-ganjul-arsh and other duas from Panjsuras? Should we recite these or not ?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 56:

56      Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him,  and salute him with all respect.

Al-Muwatta Hadith 9.70

Yahya related from Malik from Nuaym ibn Abdullah al-Mujmirthat, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Zayd told him that Abu Masud al Ansari said, "The Messenger of Allah (saws) came to us at the gathering of Sad ibn Ubada.   Bashir ibn Sad said to him, 'Allah has ordered us to ask for blessings on you, O Messenger of Allah (saws). How should we do it?' The Messenger of Allah (saws), remained silent until we wished we had not asked him. Then he (saws) told us to say, 'O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, and give baraka to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You gave baraka to Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. In all the worlds You are worthy of Praise and Glorious,'"

When Allah Subhanah commanded the believers to send the ‘durood’ or pray the salutation on Prophet Mohamed (saws),  the companions of the Messenger of Allah came to him and asked him how should they obey the command of Allah Subhanah.   And the Messenger of Allah (saws) taught them the ‘durood’,  which is prayed by the believers till today,  and until the end of time;  Insha Allah.

The believers who sincerely love Allah and His Messenger (saws),  recite the ‘durood’ as taught by the Messenger of Allah (saws).   If the believers were to leave the ‘durood’ that the Messenger of Allah (saws) taught the believers,  and invent their own ways of salutations,  and give them names like ‘Durood-e-Taj’,  or ‘Durood-e-Mutajab’, or ‘Durood-e-batin’, or ‘Darood-e-akbar’, or ‘Dua-e-ganjul-arsh’ etc.;  they will not be following and obeying the Messenger of Allah (saws),  but rather they would be obeying someone else!    We have no right to invent, or innovate, or change, or add, or subtract, from anything that is taught to us by Allah and His Messenger (saws), if indeed we fear Allah and the Last Day.

There is only one ‘durood’ in Islam, and that is the one the Messenger of Allah (saws) taught the believers; and any form of ‘durood’ or salutation other than the one taught by the Messenger of Allah (saws) would have absolutely no basis or authority from the Quran and Sunnah, thus the believers who sincerely love Allah and His Messenger (saws) should abstain from reciting or propagating any salutation other than the one specifically taught by the Messenger of Allah (saws).

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws),   one can be assured of never ever being misled;   but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
