Thank you for yor answer to my previous question. I would also like to ask, since, permanent method of birth control is prohibited, what can I do if I do not wish to have more than 2 kids, not because of fear of not able to provide for more kids but just because I am satisfied with 2 and do not wish to have anymore?

Answer:

 

Birth control no wish for more kids

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Beloved brother, if one naturally cannot conceive more children, or one wishes to space the ages of their children, or if one’s wife is ill and one fears for her life or her well being if she has more children, etc….these are genuine excuses and reasons and there is no harm.

 

But to use artificial methods to permanently block the having of more children, or for one to say that one just wishes to have two children simply because they are satisfied with two would not be a reason valid enough for them to stop the Grace and Mercy of their Lord.  And Allah Alone Knows Best.

 

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
