Answer:
Embrace greetings hug Eid
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood 1665 Narrated by Buhaysah al-Fazariyyah
My father sought permission from the Prophet
(saws) to enter. (When permission was granted and he came near the Prophet
(saws)) he began to kiss the Prophet (saws) and embrace him (out of love for
him).
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.32 Narrated by Usama bin Zaid
Allah's Messenger (saws) used to put me on
(one of) his thighs and put Al-Hasan bin Ali (r.a.) on his other thigh, and
then embrace us and say, "O Allah! Please be Merciful to them, as I am
merciful to them."
To embrace someone is but an extension of one’s love for
that person, and there is absolutely no harm if one wishes to embrace their
beloved brethren out of love and honor, on the day of Eid or otherwise, if they
wish to do so.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
