Would asking questions make you a disbeliever?
Mu' meneen Brothers

Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
salam to all muslims many people tell me that the more you question Allah (st) the more you become a none beliver. is that ture or am i just wanting my questions to be answered?
(There may be some
grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not

Answer:
Would asking questions make you
a disbeliever?
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah Subhanah has bestowed upon
man two things which He has not bestowed on any of His creation, except the Jinns:
Intelligence and the Power of
Reasoning,
A free will to choose the path
one wishes to lead his life.
Thus, if one does not understand
something, it is only natural that with
the bestowed faculty of intelligence and power of reasoning, man will have to ask to satisfy his query.
Your Question: many people tell me that the more you
question Allah (st) the more you become a none beliver. is that ture
The people who have warned you
thus, are absolutely incorrect!
If one’s intentions in
asking questions is to satisfy their
quest for knowledge and/or understand the deen so that they may be able to
follow the Command of their Creator with even more conviction; there is absolutely no harm. In fact,
such questions should be encouraged so that people will learn more about
the Signs and Attributes of their Merciful Lord; and will thus be able to worship Him with more humility, sincerity,
and devotion.
But those questions which some
people ask, not to increase their
knowledge or understand the deen; but
rather to challenge the Truth from Allah:
these types of questions are discouraged! That is because whatever answer the person receives, he has no intention to gain knowledge or
understand the issue…his only intention is to disprove the Truth of Allah
Subhanah….so that he may formulate and justify his own path according to his
desires and lusts!
If a believer asks questions in
the deen to increase his knowledge; it
will make him a better believer; but
when the rejecters and deniers of the Truth puts his allegations, he will be portraying his disease of
disbelief and hypocrisy, which will
only increase!
The good leaders and the true
scholars will never stop a person asking any question in the deen; for they know that the deen of Islam is
indeed the Truth; and every Command and
Decree of Allah and His Messenger (saws) is overflowing with wisdom.
The bad leaders and the scholars
who have made the deen a profitable business for themselves in the world at the
expense of their hereafter, will always
warn the people never to question anything about the deen they teach their
followers……simply because they have not taught the Truth from the Quran and
Sunnah, or they are afraid that if their followers realize the Truth of
Islam, their self-made monopoly on
religion will be shattered; thus immediately
effecting their business of extorting money and power in the name of religion!
If any scholar or leader warns
his followers never to ask questions in Islam;
this should be taken as the first sign of his falsehood!
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in
Islam,
