Answer:
Gold white watches
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood
Hadith 4046 Narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib
The Prophet of
Allah (saws) took silk and held it in his right hand, and took gold and held it in his left
hand, and said: “both of these are
prohibited to the males of my community.”
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
808 Narrated by Abu Musa Ash'ari
The Prophet (saws)
said: ‘Wearing silk and gold has been made unlawful for the males of my Ummah
and lawful for their females.’
The Messenger of Allah (saws)
absolutely forbade and declared it ‘haraam’ for the male believers to adorn
themselves with gold, regardless of whether it be gold rings, gold watches, chains,
etc.
Ref: White gold
Gold (Symbol ‘Ag’) itself is a yellow metallic element
but, in its pure form, it is too soft to be used for general jewelry purposes. Although
there are some cultures which do wear pure gold jewelry, it would need to be
heavily made and carefully used.
It is usual for gold to be mixed with other metals to
produce an alloy, which is simply a mixture of two or more metals. Throughout
history, most people have preferred the color of gold jewellery to remain close
to that of pure gold itself, and so most jewelry has historically been made
using yellow gold alloys. Other metals mixed with gold to produce alloys
include copper and silver, which are the common components of most yellow gold
alloys; and nickel, zinc, and palladium to produce white alloys.
The absolute majority of the
scholars and jurists in Islam are of the opinion that the metal which is known
today as ‘white-gold’ is not a different and distinct element, but an alloy
which has the exact same characteristics as the element ‘Gold’ (Symbol ‘Ag’)
and thus all the laws of Shariah which apply to gold would also be applicable
to its alloy or ‘white-gold’; thus the usage of ‘white-gold’ would also be
unlawful for the believing males. And
Allah Alone Knows Best.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
