Answer:
Which book authentic
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Dear and beloved brother, if truth be told, there is only
one Book which is absolutely, unconditionally, and unanimously accepted as
categorically authentic amongst every individual and every sect which claim to
be muslims….ie. The Glorious Quran.
Other than the Glorious Quran itself, there is no other
book available on this planet earth which every believer or every sect
considers ‘unconditionally’ authentic; nor would it behove or befit the
believers to do so.
Incomparable, unrivalled, and absolutely unparalleled to
the unconditional authenticity which is due only to the Glorious Book of
Allah…..there are a few collections of ahaadeeths written by man, which one may
say are conditionally accepted as authentic by the majority of the muslims.
The books that find mention amongst this list of
conditionally authentic books by the vast majority of muslims are first and
foremost the ‘Sahih Bukhari’ and the ‘Sahih Muslim’, and then the collection of
hadeeths by Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajah, Abu Dawood, An-Nisai, and the Muwatta of Imam
Maalik.
The eminent scholars and jurists in Islam have over time
invented a science to determine whether what is documented in these books of
ahaadeeths is indeed accurate or not; and a science to determine whether the
words or acts that have been attributed to the Messenger of Allah (saws) in
their works can be accepted or not.
But because both: the collection of the ahadeeths by the
eminent scholars and the science invented to determine its authenticity are
both the works of man; the authenticity of the works of mere men cannot even be
compared to the absolute and unconditional authenticity of the Book of
Revelations of the Majestic and Supreme Lord!
Thus in all fairness, if there is one book, which in its
available form, finds unconditional acceptance as being absolutely authentic
amongst each and every muslim….then that Book can be none save the Glorious
Quran; a Book whose authenticity is guaranteed by none other than The Lord
All-Mighty Himself!
It is We (Allah), Who has sent down this Quran, and We
will assuredly guard it against corruption.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah
Isra verse 88:
Declare this! ‘Even if human beings and the
jinns should co-operate with one another to bring forth a book like the Quran, they
would never be able to bring anything like it,
even though they all helped one another!”
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
