i need to ask you that is it permissible that when one sleeps before maghrib and wakes up after isha, and then he can offer isha prayer? i have heard if one wakes up after isha prayer he cant offer isha prayer animore?

 

aswel as i want to know the superior attributes of Holy Prophet as a human apart from his nature i want to know the physical attributes as such when he perspired, it smelled sweet and when he spit it had the power of healing, when he stood, he had no shadow.. things like that, would be glad indeed if you provide them to me :)

 

moreover i have exams these days i want you to supplicate for me as a noble brother i hoppe you do :)

Sleep between magrib and isha

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Your Question: i need to ask you that is it permissible that when one sleeps before maghrib and wakes up after isha, and then he can offer isha prayer?

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.543         Narrated by Abu Barza

Allah's Messenger (saws) disliked to sleep before the 'Isha' prayer and to talk after it.

 

Because of the proximity to the time of one’s night-sleep and thus the fear of missing one’s ‘isha’ prayers, the Messenger of Allah (saws) disliked and forbade the believers from habitually taking a nap or going to sleep between the ‘magrib’ and ‘isha’ prayers.

 

But if one does fall asleep due to any reason before ‘magrib’ and wakes up after ‘Isha’, then one must first offer the ‘magrib’ prayers, and then the ‘isha’ prayers.

 

Abu Qatadah related that sleeping through the prayer time was mentioned to the Prophet (saws) and he said, "There is no negligence in sleep, but negligence occurs while one is awake. If one of you forgets a prayer or sleeps through its time, then he should pray it when he remembers it."

Related by an-Nasa'i and at-Tirmidhi.

 

Anas related that the Prophet (saws) said, "Whoever forgets a prayer should pray it when he remembers it, and there is no expiation for it save that."

Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

Aishah related that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "The pen is raised for three (meaning: there is no obligation upon three): one who is sleeping until he wakens, the child until he becomes an adult, and one who is insane until he becomes sane."

Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, and al-Hakim.

 

Ali reported that the Prophet (saws) said: "The pen is raised for three groups [of people]--that is, they will not be responsible for their actions: the insane until they become sane, those who are sleeping until they awaken, and the young until they reach puberty."

Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and at-Tirmidhi.

 

If one forgets or sleeps through an obligatory prayer, one should offer the prayer when one remembers it or wakes up.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah Kahf verse 110:

Say (O Prophet) : "I am but a ‘bashar’ (human) like yourselves  (but) the inspiration has come to me: that your Allah is one Allah:  whoever expects to meet his Lord,  let him work righteousness,  and in the worship of his Lord admit no one as partner."

 

Prophet Mohamed (saws) was a human being, and as such, all the natural physical laws that apply to any human being would also apply to him (saws)!  

 

Some people, in their excess, try to hold and spread such false beliefs that the Prophet (saws) was not created like the other human beings, and thus try to propagate that he (saws) was created like the Angels from ‘noor’ or light, or his spit had the power of healing, or that he had no shadow, or that he did not relieve himself, etc.!!!  Because they believe that if the Prophet (saws) was only a human being, then what would be the difference between him and other human beings?   So, in their excess, they try to invent falsehoods and say things about the Prophet (saws) and his self which have absolutely no basis in reality! 

 

The greatness and significance of the Noble Prophet (saws) lies in the fact that he, like all the other human beings, was created from clay, possessed the nature of a human being, was disposed to every physical and natural law and temptation which other human beings are disposed to, and was bestowed with a ‘free will’ to choose like every human being; and the Noble Prophet (saws) chose to submit himself unconditionally to His Supreme Lord and Creator. 

 

 

Allah Subhanah has Himself commanded the Prophet (saws) to declare in the Glorious Quran,  that he (saws) is no more than a ‘bashar’ (human being); the only difference being that he (saws) has been chosen as a Messenger of Allah, is directly inspired and guided by Allah Subhanah, and receives Revelations from the Lord of the Worlds.

 

Beloved brother in Islam, we assure you that there is absolutely nothing in the Quran or Sunnah which even implies that the Messenger of Allah (saws) was created from ‘Noor’, or that he had not shadow, or that he did not bleed, etc.; on the contrary the Glorious Quran clearly declares that the Prophet (saws) was no more than a ‘bashar’ (human being) like all human beings, the only difference being that he (saws) received direct Revelations and Guidance from Allah Subhanah, the Lord of the Worlds.

May Allah Subhanah have Mercy on you and bestow upon you success in this world and the Hereafter.  Ameen.
