Answer:
Curse
make bad dua for enemies in Islam
In the
name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness.
Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray,
none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no
person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 159: Those who conceal the clear (Signs) We have sent down and the
guidance after We have made it clear for the people in the book on them shall
be Allah's Curse, and the Curse of those entitled to curse.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 161: Those who reject faith and die rejecting on them is Allah's
Curse and the Curse of the Angels and of all mankind.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verse 18: Who doth more wrong than those who invent a lie against Allah? They
will be turned back to the presence of their Lord and the witnesses will say
"These are the ones who lied against their Lord! Behold! The Curse
of Allah is on those who do wrong!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 30: The Jews call Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ
the son of Allah! That is a saying from
their mouths; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to
say. Allah's Curse be on them
(the Jews and the Christians)! How they are deluded away from the
truth!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 68: Allah hath promised the Hypocrites, men and women, and the rejecters
of faith, the fire of hell: therein shall they dwell: sufficient is it for
them: for them is the Curse of Allah and an enduring punishment
Abu Hurairah reported: "The
Prophet (saws) said: 'May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians for they
turned the graves of their Prophets into places of worship'.'' Narrated by Muslim and Bukhari.
The Prophet (saws) said, "May
Allah curse the women who are frequent visitors of the graves."

Tirmidhi.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.157 Narrated
by Jabir bin Abdullah
The Prophet (saws) said, "May Allah curse the Jews! When Allah forbade them to eat the fat of
animals, they melted it and sold it, and utilized its price!"
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 2.671 Narrated
by Ibn Abbas
When Allah's Messenger (saws) came to Mecca, he refused to enter
the Ka'ba with idols in it. He (saws)
ordered (idols to be taken out). So they were taken out. The people took out
the pictures of Abraham and Ishmael holding Azlams (divinging arrows) in their
hands. Allah's Messenger (saws) said,
"May Allah curse these people (the polytheists)! By Allah, both Abraham and Ishmael never did the game of chance
with Azlams." Then he entered the
Ka'ba and said Takbir at its corners but did not offer the prayer in it.
Dear and
Beloved Sister in Islam, there are several examples in the Quran and the Sunnah
whereby Allah and His Messenger (saws) pronounced a general curse on the
obstinate transgressors.
There are
also some instances, when one amongst the evil-doers was so obstinate in his
evil, that Allah and His Messenger (saws) pronounced the curse specific to that
particular individual or tribe by name:
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 111 Surah Lahab verses 1-5:
1 Perish the hands of ‘Abi-Lahab’!
Perish he!
2 No profit to him from all his wealth and all his gains!
3 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of blazing Flame!
4 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood as fuel!
5 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verses 96-99:
96 And We sent Moses with Our Clear (Signs) and an authority manifest
97 Unto Pharaoh and his Chiefs: but they followed the command of
Pharaoh and the command of Pharaoh was no right (guide).
98 He will go before his people on the Day of Judgment and lead them
into the Fire (as cattle are led to water): but woeful indeed will be this
leading (and) the place led to!
99 And they are followed by a curse in this (life) and on the Day of
Judgment: and woeful is the gift which shall be given (unto them)!
Fiqh-us-Sunnah Fiqh 2.18a
Abu Hurairah reports that whenever the Prophet (saws) wanted to
supplicate against or for someone, he would make qunut after going into
ruku'. Sometimes, he (saws) would say:
"Allah hears him who praises Him. Our Lord, to you is the praise. O Allah!
Save al-Walid ibn al-Walid and Salamah ibn Hisham and 'Iyash ibn Abi Rabi'ah
and the oppressed [and weak] believers.
O Allah, put hardship and pressure on the tribe of Mudhar and give
them years of famine like those during the time of Yusuf."

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.299 Narrated byAnas
The people of the tribes of Ril, Dhakwan, 'Usiya and Bani Lihyan
came to the Prophet (saws) and claimed that they had embraced Islam, and they
requested him (saws) to support them with some men to fight their own
people. The Prophet (saws) supported
them with seventy men from the Ansar whom we used to call Al-Qurra' (i.e.
scholars) who (out of piety) used to cut wood during the day and pray all the
night. So, those people took the (seventy) men till they reached a place called
Bi'r-Ma'ana where they betrayed and martyred them. So, the Prophet invoked evil on the tribe of Ril, Dhakwan
and Bani Lihyan for one month in the prayer.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 2.117 Narrated byAnas bin Malik
The Prophet (saws) recited Qunut for one month (in the Fajr
prayer) asking Allah to punish the tribes of Ral and Dhakwan.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 5.420 Narrated byAnas
The Prophet (saws) said Al-Qunut after Bowing (i.e. Ar-Ruku') for
one month, invoking evil upon (the tribes of) Ril and Dhakwan. He used to say,
"Usaiya disobeyed Allah and His Messenger!"
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 1438 Narrated
byAbdullah ibn Abbas
The Messenger of Allah (saws) recited the supplication (Qunut)
daily for a month at the noon, afternoon, sunset, night and morning
prayers. When he (saws) said:
"Allah listens to him who praises Him" in the last rak'ah, invoking a
curse on some clans of Banu Sulaym, Ri'l, Dhakwan and Usayyah, and those who
were standing behind him said: ‘Ameen’.

Beloved
Sister in Islam, there is absolutely no harm if one makes a general
supplication to their Lord All-Mighty to curse the people who oppress and
tyrannize the believers for their faith; but one should abstain from declaring
a curse on a specific individual, for we never know when the individual might
turn back in repentance to the Lord Most Gracious and seek guidance to the
Truth of Al-Islam!
It is
indeed true that Allah and His Messenger (saws) did curse some specific
individuals who were absolutely obstinate in their transgression and Allah
Subhanah Alone Knows that they would never ever turn to the Truth of Islam; the likes of Abu Lahab, Abu Jahl, the
Pharaoh, etc. or the tribes of Banu Sulaym, Ril, Dhakwan, and Ussayyah.
But
because we as believers have absolutely no knowledge of the future, it would
not behove one who professes belief in Allah and the Last Day, to curse a
specific individual for there is a possibility that the person might repent
from his evil and seek forgiveness from the Lord All-Mighty, and the Lord
Gracious in His Infinite and Sublime Mercy, might accept his repentance and
forgive him! But there is absolutely no
harm if one declares a general curse on the evil-doers who oppress, tyrannize,
and murder our brothers and sisters in Islam.
As
followers of the Last Prophet (saws) who was sent as a mercy to all the worlds,
when it comes a specific individual who is seen as committing evil, as much as
we hate and despise what he does in his individual capacity, it would be best
for us to make supplication for the person and ask Allah Subhanah to guide the
person to the Truth of Al-Islam. Allah
Alone Knows who would best accept guidance, and we know not!
Whatever
written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance,
and whatever of error is of me alone.
Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
