Requirements of Gusl: Does the wife has to PURIFY her self when only the man release his semen.
Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
If a married couple involve in SEX without actual intercourse i.e hugging, kissing, oral sex without releasing the SEMEN, do they have to purify (take bath) them selves to perform prayer ? Upto what level a couple can go without having the need to take bath, to purify themselves.
We use to do ORAL
SEX is it allowed in ISLAM ? Does the wife has to PURIFY her self when only the
man release his semen. Need clarification on this.
Thank you,

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can
misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We
bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Ghusl or full bath of
purification is required for two reasons:
The couple have had actual
intercourse (whether the semen has been released or not),
And ejaculation.
If a couple are engaged in
hugging, kissing, etc. and the semen is not released, there is no need for a full bath or ghusl.

The scholars of Islam are
unanimous that Oral Sex, whereby the
wife touches her husband’s sex organ with her mouth, is a disliked and impure act;
and thus the believers, who
sincerely fear Allah and the Last Day must abstain from it.
But, in case, the wife for any
reason arouses her husband’s sex organ with her hand or any other part of her
body, and he releases his semen, there is no harm. In such a case, ghusl
will be obligatory only on the husband and not the wife.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
