Answer:
Wife cursing parents
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one brother or sister get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause. We hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter
4 Surah Nisaa verse 34: Men are the protectors and maintainers of
women because Allah has given the one more than the other and because they
support them from their means. Therefore
the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's)
absence what Allah would have them guard.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.4 Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr
Allah's Messenger (saws) said.
"It is one of the greatest sins that one should curse his
parents." It was asked (by the
people), "O Allah's Messenger (saws)! How does one curse his
parents?" The Prophet (saws) said,
"It happens whon one abuses the father of another, and the latter abuses
the father and mother of the former.”
It would be absolutely unacceptable for a believing woman, who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day, to curse or revile the parents of anyone, leave alone the parents of her own husband! Such behavior should be absolutely unacceptable to the self-respect of any righteous man.
One should first and foremost talk to the wife with patience and wisdom to stop her from this evil habit; and if there is no improvement he should abstain from sharing the bed with her in his effort to manifest his severe disapproval of her evil habit. If even after this there is no improvement, then he should first threaten her with divorce, and if even then she does not stop, then the only righteous step to take would be to actually divorce and separate from such a person who reviles and rebukes one’s parents. It should be absolutely and utterly unacceptable for the self-respect of any believer that he allow his wife to revile and rebuke his parents in any way! If the man does divorce his wife under these circumstances, there would be no sin upon him.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your
Brother in Islam,
Burhan
