Dear Burhan,
I also have the translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali and have same problems of not completely understanding it.

I looked up Amazon.com and could not find the Quran Translated by Syed Abul Aala Maududi. Please let me know if you can send a copy to me, InshaAallah.

Please do let me know where and how to pay you.

Copy of the Quran

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Your Statement: Thank you so much for sending me the Quran

Beloved and dear Brother in Islam, all Praise and Thanks is for Allah Subhanah Alone who gave this opportunity to serve in His Noble Cause.  Beloved brother, the Truth of the matter is that it is actually you who has honored us and done us a favor by asking and allowing us to send you the Quran so that you may strive to comprehend this Glorious Message of the Lord Most Merciful.  It is we who should be and are grateful to you for allowing us this opportunity. 

 

May Allah Subhanah open your heart to the understanding of this His Clear and Simple Message, help you, guide you, have mercy upon you, and give you the courage and the wisdom to stay steadfast on the path of Truth.

My dear and beloved brother in Islam, we implore you to accept the Quran as a gift from your brothers and sisters of this humble forum; and it is our ardent prayer that you will not refuse our humble request.  Our only intention is seek to the Pleasure and Good Will of the Merciful Lord, and Allah is our witness, His Pleasure and Good Will is more than enough as a reward for His believing slaves.

 

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale-Imraan verse 132-134:

132    And obey Allah and the Messenger; that ye may obtain mercy.

133    Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth prepared for the righteous.

134    Those who spend (freely) whether in prosperity or in adversity; who restrain anger and pardon (all) men; for Allah loves those who do good.

 

Beloved and dear Brother in Islam, if you accept this humble gift from us, maybe, just maybe, Allah Subhanah will accept our humble striving with all our severe shortcomings, and include this deed of ours as a ‘good deed’ in our Book of Records.

Beloved brother, the only thing we ask of you is that you pray to the Merciful Lord for your brothers and sisters who help moderate this humble forum, and ask Him to help us, guide us, have mercy upon us, and forgive us our severe and innumerable shortcomings in the service of His Deen. 

 

Sahih Muslim Hadith 6588     Narrated by Abud Darda

Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘There is no believing servant who supplicates for his brother behind his back (in his absence) that the Angels do not say: “The same be for you too.”’

 

All Praise is due to Allah Subhanah Alone Who has guided us to this beautiful deen of Mercy and Peace and Love and Brotherhood called Al-Islam.

Allah is our witness brother, to date we have not accepted a cent from anyone for the humble service we provide; our one and only intention is to earn the Pleasure and Good Will of our Merciful Lord and hope and pray that He will accept our humble striving, forgive us our sins, and save us from the Hell Fire on that Inevitable Day.

 

We hope that this translation of Brother Maududi is beneficial to you  in your quest for the Knowledge of Truth; and pray to Allah Subhanah that He makes you a soldier in His Cause so that one day you may be able to help other brothers and sisters who too are in the search of this invaluable Knowledge. 

 

My beloved and dear Brother in Islam, although we have never had the opportunity to meet in the life of this transitory world, it is our ardent desire and prayer that Allah Subhanah raise us again as brothers in His Merciful Presence in the life of the Hereafter.  Ameen.

 

May Allah Subhanah always keep you and your family in His Protection and Mercy, and bestow upon you the best of this world and the best of the Hereafter. Ameen.
