Misleading people
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this
question:
Prove to me you are not misleading people..!
(There may be some grammatical and spelling
errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from
questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in
confidentiality.)
Answer:
Misleading people
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there
is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Beloved brother in Islam, the norm of this world and even
in Shariah is that: one is innocent till someone proves his guilt.
Misleading or misguidance would be if we have advocated
anything which is against the Guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah. The evidence of literally tens of thousands
of pages written by us are available on the website; and if there is anything
that we have written which is against
the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, we would be indebted to you or any
well-wishing brother or sister who would point out our shortcomings to us so
that we may amend our belief and our conduct in the life of this world, rather
than carry the burden of our error and be held Accountable in the Just Court of
Allah Subhanah on that Inevitable Day.
Man is indeed weak and prone to error; thus we really
would appreciate, if for no other reason than to win the Pleasure and Good Will
of the Lord Most Merciful, that our brothers and sisters on the forum point out
our mistakes or our shortcomings to us and give us the opportunity to amend ourselves
to serve this noble cause to the best of our ability.
Your Statement: Prove to me you are not misleading people..!
Beloved brother in Islam, the Supreme and Ultimate Judge
of who is guided aright and who is astray, will and should be none other than
the Lord of the Worlds. The
All-Knowing, All-Wise Lord is aware of the intentions and deeds of each and
every one in creation, and nothing is hidden from His Infinite Knowledge.
Allah is our witness, we provide this humble service for
absolutely no other reason than to earn the Pleasure and Good Will of the Lord
Most Merciful. If our humble and modest
efforts have helped even one brother or sister to get closer to Allah and His
Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been
given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause. We hope,
beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.
If one were to ‘intentionally’ mislead people away from
the Truth, especially in the shadow of the Quran and the Sunnah; Allah is our
witness, there would be no bigger sinner and criminal in the sight of the
All-Mighty Lord than such an evil person.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 79: Then woe to those who write the Book with
their own hands and then say: "This is from Allah" to traffic with it
for a miserable price! Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the
gain they make thereby.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah
Yunus verse 17: Who can be a greater sinner than the one who himself forges a
lie and ascribes it to Allah, or
falsifies His Real Revelations?
Indeed, the criminals can never
attain true success.
Thus lets examine who are the kinds of people and/or what
possible motives they could have to dare take upon themselves the Wrath of the
All-Mighty, and intentionally mislead others from the Straight Path! We would put in our few words of defence in
our effort to prove our innocence to you, Insha Allah.
Possible Motive 1:
They demand a price or some monetary or worldly gain for their services.
Allah Subhanah is our witness, we have never requested or
asked for even one cent from anyone for this humble service. The brothers and sisters who help moderate
this forum have, without exception, selflessly and voluntarily served with
their time and their humble efforts for no other reason than to earn the
Pleasure and Good Will of their Merciful Lord and Creator. Not a single brother or sister who helps
with his/her time and efforts to bring this forum to fruitation has demanded or
gets any renumeration whatsoever; and even when offered some compensation for
their countless hours of efforts, these noble brothers and sisters unanimously
declined the offer for they wanted no reward except the reward of the
Hereafter.
Beloved brother, you decide whether we are guilty of
seeking any worldly gain for our humble services!
Possible Motive 2: They seek fame in the life of this
world.
We have tried to provide this service in absolute
anonymity, and other than my own first name, we have never ever disclosed or
advertised the names of the other noble brothers and sisters who selflessly serve
the forum. The ‘Ameer’ of the forum,
the various brothers and sisters who spent countless hours editing and
formulating the thousands of questions and answers, the scholars who give their
valuable advice, the brothers who do research to help formulate the answers,
etc. are in reality the ones who are responsible for the continuing existence
of this forum. These noble brothers and
sisters work selflessly for countless hours in absolute anonymity for no other
reason than in the hope and fear that their Merciful Lord knows their striving,
has Mercy upon them, and the humble hope that the acceptance of their efforts
by the Lord Most Merciful might save them from the torment of the Hell Fire on
that Inevitable Day.
In my own defence, I would like to add that I insisted
that they give me a ‘pen-name’ so that I too would get the honor in the
Presence of the Lord which my other brothers and sisters were seeking in
anonymity; but our brother and leader, the ‘Ameer’ insisted that at least the
name of the writer be given so that the readers might know whom they are
addressing, if only in the first name!
It is indeed an irony and a paradox that the one who does
the least has his signature on the forum, and the real heroes who do the most
have claimed anonymity so as not to dilute their reward in the Presence of
their Majestic Lord. It is the ardent
prayer of my heart, that the Merciful Lord accept and honor these His humble
and anonymous slaves in His Presence, and grant them the highest level in His
Gardens of Al-Firdaus which is reserved for the Righteous and the
Truthful.
Beloved brother, now you decide whether we are guilty of
seeking any worldly fame for our humble services?
Possible Motive 3: We belong to an organization or
subscribe to a particular ‘school of thought’ whose mission might be to
misguide the believers from the Straight Path.
The Shayaateen of the world have gotten together and have
tried almost everything in their power, and have opened the flood-gates of
misguidance in the name of freedom, civilization, modernism, fashion,
entertainment, etc., to destroy and
dishonor this way of life called Al-Islam.
It is nothing but the Mercy and Grace of Allah Subhanah, that He has
blessed some amongst the believers to stand up and defend their faith of
Truth.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah
Taubah verses 32-33:
32 Fain
would they (the disbelievers and enemies of Islam) extinguish Allah's Light
with their mouths, but Allah will not allow but that His Light should be
perfected, even though the disbelievers may detest (it).
33 It is
He who hath sent His Messenger (Mohamed (saws)) with guidance and religion of
Truth to proclaim it over all religions, even though the pagans may detest
(it).
Allah is our witness, we do not claim to belong to any
organization, nor do we subscribe to any sect or ‘school of thought’, nor do we
advocate anything which is against the guidance of the Quran and the
Sunnah. We are simply proud to be
recognized by the name Allah Subhanah has Himself chosen for the believers: ie.
‘Muslims’.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse 77-78: O you who have believed,
do ‘rukooh’ (bow down) and do ‘sajdah’ (prostration), and worship your
Lord Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds: it may be that you attain true
success! Exert your utmost for the
cause of Allah, as one should. He has chosen you for His service, and has
not laid on you any hardship in your religion. Therefore, be steadfast
in the religion of your father Abraham.
Allah had named you ‘muslims’ before this, and has named you
(muslims) in this Quran also,
so that the Messenger may be a witness in regard to you, and you may be witnesses in regard to the
rest of mankind.
The internet provided us with an opportunity to serve the
Ummah in our own humble way by answering the various questions and answers and
even challenges to Islam. If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one
brother or sister get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would
consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the
Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause.
Beloved brother, now you decide whether we are guilty of
propagating a particular sect or organization or a ‘school of thought’ through
this forum in any way.
My beloved and dear brother in Islam, if there is anything
else we can say or portray to prove our innocence to the accusation of
intentionally misguiding people from the Quran and Sunnah, we would be more
than happy to defend ourselves to your satisfaction.
In Allah Subhanah do the believers put their trust, from
Allah we have all come, and to Him Alone is our final return.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
