Why Shias bow down to graves?

One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Bohra community is known
for not allowing the translation of Qur’an which is of
course not correct, I agree, therefore know not what Allah commanded like about
invoking the graves and bowing down to them. But the other
shiyas-they are allowed to understand the meaning of
the Glorious Qur’an, then
don’t they know the commandments of Allah? And if they know why then they bow
before the graves of Prophet Mohammed (saws)’s family?

In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,
no grave, no prophet, no
imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone,
and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of
His Messengers.
Firstly, we would just like to
clarify our position, that ‘shirk’ is not the sole monopoly of the people who
call themselves Shias, or Sunnis, or Bohris, or Jews, or Christians, or Hindus, or
whatever! And this heinous sin of shirk
is definitely not confined to those who call themselves Shias,
because there are a lot of people who call themselves Sunnis…but are even more
heavily involved in this most hated, heinous and monstrous of sins: Shirk!
All the communities that were
destroyed in the past, as related by Allah Subhanah
in the Glorious Quran, were all destroyed because
they committed this unforgivable sin of Shirk!
All the Prophets of Allah, who ever came to this Planet Earth, without
exception, warned their people about this heinous sin of ‘Shirk’… and the Prime
Mission of each one of them was to invite the people towards the invocation and
worship of the One Lord Alone, and abstain from the practices of shirk!
The one common and standard
reason for all the people who call themselves muslims,
believe in Allah and the Last Messenger (saws), but are involved in this
heinous crime of ‘shirk’….is that they do not read the Quran
with understanding themselves! Those
who commit shirk, rely on someone else to tell them what the Quran says and teaches; and whatever their scholars and
supposed ‘holy men’ say, these people blindly believe them… without ever
trying, or taking the effort, to open the Book of Allah, and trying to read it
with understanding, themselves! And
these supposed ‘holy men’, who wear the garb of Islam and look like the most
pious people on earth; guide the ignorant and innocent people to invoke and
worship themselves and the graves of their ancestors; and sell the Words of
Allah for paltry worldly benefits!
And the ‘mode-of-operation’ of
all these unscrupulous supposed ‘holy men’, without exception, is always to
make sure that their followers never go near the understanding of the Quran! They try to
confuse and put doubts in their followers minds about
the Quran, and keep saying that the Quran has many meanings, and one should never try to
understanding the clear guidance of the Quran…
because if they do, they will get confused and misguided! They always preach that the Quran can only be understood by ‘some’ special people (like
them!); and this Glorious Book of Allah just cannot be understood by ‘fools’
like you and me! They will say and do
anything and everything to make sure that their followers never read the Quran with understanding for themselves…..for they know
very well, that if a person reads the Quran, even once, they will realize the Truth of Tawheed and the refutation of Shirk, from the clear guidance and teachings of the
Glorious Revelations of Allah!
Allah has warned the believers
to beware of these supposed ‘holy men’ in the Glorious Quran:
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verses 34-35:O you who
believe! There are indeed many among the
priests and the holy men who devour the wealth of others by evil means, and
debar the people from the Way of Allah.
Give them the good news of a painful torment, who
hoard up gold and silver and do not expend these in the Way of Allah. The Day shall surely come when the same gold
and silver shall be heated in the fire of Hell, and with it will be branded
their foreheads, their bodies and their backs.
(And it will be said): “Here is that treasure you had hoarded up for
yourselves! Taste now the evil of your
hoarded treasure!”
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 2 Surah Al-Baqarah verse 174:Indeed those,
who conceal the commands that Allah has sent down in His Book and barter them
away for paltry worldly gains, fill their bellies with fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of
Resurrection, nor will He regard them as pure and there is a painful torment
for them!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 159:Those who conceal the clear (Revelations)
and Guidance We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in
the Book, on them shall be Allah’s ‘laanah’ and the ‘laanah’ of those who are entitled to curse!
In our humble opinion, if the muslims who are involved in shirk,
realize that what they are doing is ‘shirk’… they would leave it
immediately! The poor souls are so
heavily involved in this most heinous and monstrous of sins, without even
realizing it …. And almost all of them erroneously think that they are doing
exactly what Allah has commanded the believers to do in the Holy Quran!
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 18 Surah Kahf verses 103-106:Tell them (O
Mohamed), “Should We tell you who are the most unsuccessful people and
miserable failures in regard to their deeds?
They are those, all whose endeavors in the worldly life, had gone astray

And the only way for one to
realize the enormity of this sin, is to read the Glorious Quran,
even only once, with understanding!
Nothing destroys the disguises, faces, and manifestations of shirk, like
the Holy Quran!!!
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
