Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Assalmaalikum brother

Can we own a barber shop where we only invest but somene will lookafter that and we get the income from that

Answer:

 

Own barber shop

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person,  no grave, no prophet,  no imam,  no dai,  nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

There is absolutely no harm in only investing and owning a barber shop;  as this business is not amongst the things which are declared haraam in Islam.

 

If one party only invests and owns the barber shop or any other halaal business,  and gets an income from the other party who is entrusted to run the shop;  there is absolutely no harm.   Such an income will be considered absolutely halaal in the sight of Shariah and Islam.

 

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me.  Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
