Dear brother Assalamu Alaikum,

I work for a company as a sales executive. I have tried several times to get a salary increase. But despite all outstanding performances they seem not interested. Now I understand, our managment including the person in-charge of accounts are getting commision on the sales that we do apart from the salary and facility increase they got recently. So we decided to write off commisions (in somebody else`s name) and discounts of the sales we do for ourselves. Would this be haram? please help me.

Commissions/Discounts

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

 

Beloved brother, we humbly request you to give a more detailed question and example of the exact transaction regarding the commissions and discounts you have mentioned in your above question.   Because this is a matter of haraam and halaal, we want to be absolutely sure that we understand the exact nature of the transactions.
