Good Criticism
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Assalam-o-Alaikum
First of all
brother may Allah give you reward for your efforts. It’s a good
effort keep it up. I
read your answer to Q.95 regarding Dawoodi-Bohras,
and totally agree with your answer. There is a small thing I want to bring to
your attention. i read about
your history of how you turned to the true path of Allah. Think about that time
one of the reasons you turned to Islam was the patience and good nature of the
brother who was talking to you about Islam. In Q95 the person who raised the
question was very taunting, which we should expect, infact
we can expect worse comments. But I couldnt
help noticing a certain level of anger and skepticism in your answer. I
understand that your intentions were totally right. But remember one of the
purposes of answering these questions and sending them out by mail to other
people is to basically make them more aware of Islam. Some of them people might
not be on the right path already. Any aggression might alienate them and put
them on the defensive.
Once again I'm not
criticising you, infact I
greatly admire the work you do and may Allah give you Ajar
for it.
Assalam-o-alaikum

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone,
and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of
His Messengers.
My beloved and esteemed brother
in Islam, we cannot thank you enough for your constructive criticism. We absolutely agree with you in your
assessment, and we beg Allah Subhanah to forgive us
our short-comings. Indeed, what you
have said is the absolute truth, and Insha Allah, we
shall endeavor to deliver the Message of Allah Subhanah
in the most polite and humble manner; as is the command of our Merciful Lord.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran: Chapter 16, Surah
An-Nahl Ayat 125:Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and excellent
admonition and argue with people in the best manner. Your Lord knows best who
has gone astray from His Way and who is Rightly
guided.
Allah is our witness,
we meant nothing but good, and our one and only intention is to seek the
Pleasure of Allah Subhanah with our humble efforts to
invite our brethren to the Truth of Islam.
We are only but human beings, and thus prone to error and
short-comings. May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best for bringing this
short-coming to our attention, and we sincerely apologize to you and our
brethren, if any of our articles have transgressed the boundaries of wisdom and
good manners. May Allah Subhanah forgive us our errors and short-comings, have
mercy on us, bestow upon us patience and wisdom, and save us all from the
torment of the Hell Fire.
We humbly beg Allah Subhanah that He bestow upon us
control over our human emotions, and grant us patience and wisdom to invite
mankind to the Truth of Allah Subhanah. We seek refuge in Allah Subhanah
from the incitement of the Shaitaan, who is ever an
enemy of mankind.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verses 199-202:Adopt the
Way of leniency and forbearance! Enjoin
what is good and avoid useless discussions with the ignorant people. If ever Shaitaan
incites you to anger, seek refuge in Allah; He is indeed the All Hearing, All
Knowing. The fact is that if ever an
evil suggestion from Shaitaan so much as touches
those, who are God-fearing people, they immediately get alerted and clearly see the right course they should adopt. As regards their (Shaitaan’s)
brethren, they drag them on and on in their crooked ways, and leave nothing
undone to seduce them!
Once again brother, we
sincerely apologize for our short-comings, and earnestly thank you, and humbly supplicate Allah Subhanah
to reward you with the best, for bringing this to our attention. We shall, Insha
Allah, try our level best to control our emotions and invite our brethren to
the Truth of Islam in the best and most polite manner.
Jazak Allah Kheir and May Allah reward you generously for writing to
us, and helping us to deliver this Message of Truth in the best manner.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
