Mu` meneen Brothers
and Sisters,Dear brother in
Islam,
Assalam alaikum. I am sorry I do not agree with you that once a person is allowed entry into paradise, he will have no duties, no resposibilities and no work. I do not recall reading anything like that in holy Quran or the bible. Can you quote from holy Quran as to how you reached this conclusion, and make me wise.
Thank you. Allah Hafiz.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can
misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We
bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no
imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy
of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
When we say the People of
Paradise will have no work and responsibilities, we mean the work and
responsibilities as compared to this worldly life. These fortunate people will not be worried
about their livelihood, that if they do not go to work, they will not be able
to feed or provide for themselves or their families. And by no responsibilities, we mean to imply
that one will not have the responsibility to protect the goods and people under
his care for fear that he might suffer some sort of a loss.
What we meant was that these
fortunate people will not need to work or toil or fear any loss of person or
property, like is the case in this world.
They will be treated like Royal Guests of the Lord of the Worlds! They will be busy enjoying the unlimited
provisions, bounties, and pleasures that their Merciful Lord will bestow upon
them.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 36 Surah Ya Seen verses 55-58:Verily the
People of the Gardens shall that Day enjoy in everything that they do; they and
their wives will be in groves of (cool) shade, reclining on Thrones (of
dignity). They shall have all kinds of
tasteful fruits, and they shall have there, whatever they may desire. They will have been greeted with ‘Peace’, a
Word (of salutation) from a Lord, Most Merciful.
A more accurate and better
description of the People of Paradise would be that they will never experience
fear nor grief in anything that they do or have.
We sincerely apologize for any
misunderstanding that might have arisen from our statement.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
